soren k jensen
Hi all, I need to clean and lubricate my Flyer gimbal. Read the threads on cleaning and lubing other gimbals, but nothing on the FLyer. Actually the arm squeaks a bit, so that needs some attention too, come to think of it... I see no info on taking the gimbal apart anywhere on site or in the manual. Any advice?

Richard James Lewis
The cleaning will be the same, you just have to remove it form the post and disassemble it. The only tricky bit is finding the right key tool to open it up. You remove the top cap with the tool, and the push the bearing, along with the main assembly up off the grip, then turn it over and unscrew a sleeve which presses the bearing into its housing, pop it out and clean it?that?s if it follows the same criteria as the larger ones. Hope this helps a bit, Rick. :)
