I think this is where not using telescoping posts is very helpful. Bruce, I'm glad you got you post to work, but I totally disagree with the idea that all telescoping posts inherently vibrate too much: it depends on the clamps, materials, diameters, etc. All of this was all worked out just fine about ten years ago, and is of course, a core feature of the Ultras, Clippers and various clones. Perhaps model III's and the like with thinner aluminum posts couldn't do it well enough, but not the modern carbon fiber ones. Telescoping posts also give you a full range of post lengths, from minimum length to six feet, and they extend or retract in seconds, require no extra parts, cases, etc. Jerry hello jerry when I see you ultra prototipe in malibu99 I think es perfect . I get maybe an extra 1.5' towards the ground, coupled with what I can do with the Flyer's telescoping post.. It works for now, and I hate operating it! Or the famous 30 minutes producer meeting was called to avoid "wasting" 10 minutes for the conversion... Always after a call got out for the super post, I would mount up and investigate the hight that the Director wanted with him and 90-95 % of the time it was considerable above the ultra low mode of the super post and was achieved with the conventional post...
