problems with my master monitor

Hi,

I have a Steadicam Master Film and the other day I had a problem with may monitor. I tried to explain the best I can but my English is really bad.

Ok, the problem is that the image in the monitor have been reduced. The monitor is a 16/9 4/3 one. And now I see the 16/9 format on the size (space, I don?t know how to explain better) of the 4/3 and the 4/3 I see it even smaller. To sum up. I can?t see the image in full wide screen. I always have some lateral bands of no image.

Anyone understand what I have said? Anyone can help me?

Thank you in advance

Javi

We have had this problem on some old sony monitors at the tv station where i work .

The technicians here do not repair this kind of problems , it ?s not a good news to help you .

Have you try to get the video signal on another monitor than the master monitor ,

I think it?s not that , but maybe try to have a picture directly from the frameline generator to know If it?s really the faulty monitor .

You can also give your monitor for test in a traditional tv repair , it?s near the same as black and white monitors for the embedded electronic .(they have repair synch problems for me before I put a lcd on my master)

Give this to the technician , it can help him to power and send video to the monitor :

4 pins HIROSE cable :

Pin 1 : GND

Pin 2 : video GND

Pin 3 : video

Pin 4 : + 12v

Thank Hervé. I'll try that. I hope it works.

Javi,

My monitor is doing the same thing. Did you resolve your problem and if you did what was the fix?
