4 MONTHS AGO,, I bought a  monitor from OLLI SCHUMANN through Marketplace, but it never arrived.

After I paid him via bank transfer, he shipped it with DHL on February 11th.

Weeks went by and the monitor never arrived. I contacted DHL Spain and they informed me that the package had been lost and that ONLY THE SENDER could file a claim

I HAVE AN EMAIL FROM DHL CONFIRMING THIS INFORMATION

Given this situation, I asked Olli Schumann for a refund, and he replied ACCUSING ME that I had received the monitor and that he could prove it. Obviously he can't prove it because it's not true.

From my point of view,  he should refund my money and deal with DHL himself (especially since I am unable to do anything on my side).

THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I WOULD HAVE ACTED IF I WERE THE SELLER.

HE RECEIVED MONEY FOR A MONITOR THAT I NEVER RECEIVED

IT'S BEEN 4 MONTHS AND I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN REFUNDED

He didn't even give me his email address,  he  insulted me and blocked me on WhatsApp

Do you think this is fair behavior? In my opinion, it's Illegal and unacceptable

HE SHOULD BE EXPELLED FROM THE GROUP

what is your point of view?

In December 2025, I had the opportunity to work with Amadeu. We spent more than a week working together, and all I can say is that I was fortunate to get to know him both as a person and as a colleague. Throughout the time we worked together, he proved to be professional, honest, and supportive.
We had not spoken for quite some time, but today we had a brief conversation regarding a piece of equipment. During that conversation, he told me about the unfortunate situation involving a monitor he had attempted to purchase from a colleague in Germany.
I am not usually the kind of person who makes public posts like this, but I strongly dislike injustice. For that reason, I am sharing the evidence that Amadeu himself provided to me: the email he received from DHL stating that the equipment had been lost in transit.
It is simply not fair for the German colleague to come into this group and accuse him of fraud when there is documented evidence showing that the shipment was reported as lost by DHL.

I would like to clarify the following:

The item, along with several additional items that I included free of charge, was properly shipped to the address you provided yourself. At the same time, you informed DHL that the shipment had not arrived. Given these circumstances, it is difficult for me to understand which account is accurate.

As you are already aware, I immediately reported the matter to DHL and filed a loss/damage claim. You were also informed of this accordingly.

According to the information available to me, the package was shipped by DHL to the address you provided. If the shipment was subsequently misdirected or lost, this occurred outside of my control. For that reason, I reported the incident to DHL without delay.

I have fulfilled all of my obligations. The goods were shipped, the additional complimentary items were included, and I provided you with all available photos, receipts, and relevant correspondence.

As part of the claim process, DHL initially informed me that the package had been delivered. I was later advised that the delivery location or designated drop-off point had been changed after shipment. According to DHL, this change occurred after the package had already been dispatched. This was also entirely outside of my responsibility or control.

As the matter progressed, DHL ultimately classified the shipment as lost. As a result, I have also suffered a financial loss. For this reason, I cannot understand the accusations being made against me.

Public accusations or allegations do not contribute to resolving the matter. If there are any outstanding questions, they should be addressed directly, respectfully, and in a factual manner rather than through public accusations or misrepresentations.

I have already explained the situation in detail and provided all information and documentation available to me. In my view, both you and I have been affected by the loss of this shipment.

Therefore, I ask that this matter be considered fairly and objectively, and that any further unfounded accusations or public misrepresentations be avoided.

First of all, I would like to point out that I tried to resolve this situation in a polite and respectful manner, but you did not help to solve it. Not only that, but you also accused me of having received the monitor without providing any evidence whatsoever, which I consider very serious, as you were essentially treating me as a scammer. On top of that, you insulted me and ended the communication. You did not even provide me with your email address.

This is why I decided to make this dispute public on the forum.

That being said, you claim that you have suffered a financial loss. This makes no sense. You received the agreed payment, while I never received the monitor. Therefore, you did not lose anything.

The mistake was obviously made by DHL, but the real question here is:

who is responsible for that mistake? Why should I be the one who has to bear the loss and lose my money? That is neither fair nor legal.

First, I did not arrange the shipment, and according to DHL, only the sender can file a claim.

Second, it is obvious that you shipped the item without insurance, even though it was your responsibility to ensure that the shipment was properly covered.

Therefore, you should take responsibility for the situation and refund my money.

Your claims process with DHL is your responsibility, not mine.

From my point of view, the situation is very simple: if I had been the seller, I would have refunded the buyer as soon as DHL confirmed by email that the package had been lost.

I would be interested to hear the opinions of other operators, as all of my colleagues who are aware of the situation share the same view.

Hi Amadeu,

When I buy any equipment or items in this forum or another one, I always prepare and pay the shipping myself and I program the pick up when and where the salesperson prefer. In this way, you have all the information about the delivery and the most important, you pay the real insurance for the package.

For me, is a little bit risky leave all the responsibility to the other person, because if he, for example, don’t pay a good insurance and your package go missing, you will have a difficult situation…

Hi Alberto,

Thank you for the information. I’ll keep that in mind.

In this case, I specifically asked this dishonest seller to purchase insured shipping. He told me he would, but he obviously didn’t, and he refused to take any responsibility after the package was lost. To me, that’s nothing short of a scam.
