SOA Workshop question.

Hello everyone,

I'm on the newer side of steadicam operating. Shot a couple of projects here and there, nothing too crazy. I am looking into going all the way with this career path.

The question I have is regarding the week-long SOA workshop. I've invested a lot of money into securing a spot since every operator I've met has really encouraged me into taking this program. I have no doubt I will grow as an operator during the workshop. My question is directed towards anyone who has been through the program already.

Since I know taking the program alone won't guarantee any jobs, what were the steps you took right after finishing the program to further OR kickstart your career?

additionally, looking back, what are some of the things you wish you had done differently during the first couple of weeks / months after completing the workshop?

 

This is my first post so I hope I'm doing this the right way lol. Any tips, advice, or anecdotes will be of great, great help. Looking forward to reading all the answers! 🙂
