Will Kennedy
Is anyone using a case to transport their vest? Hard/soft? I am finding mine awkward to carry and store assembled, and I'm thinking it will eventually show some wear in its shape.
Brett Manyluk
There is a great company in Vancouver named North Westen Textiles that sells them. Contact Colin. Don't have the number but you can probably 411 it. Very good work for very affordable price (Canadian Dollars). He also has an awesome Steadicam AKS with multiple options for about $135.00 Cnd. Hope that helps... Brett Manyluk
Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted March 30, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 30, 2004 I carry my vests (DSD and a 3a vest) in old plastic Sony/Ikegami hardboxes with rollers and 4 locks on 3 sides. These cases are great, huge internally, low weight, VERY rigid ( they shipped those Betacam camera´s in it) and the weels make at a dream to transport. And you can put AKS with it, cables,Low mode cages, my ProGear arm and extra canisters. Ask around in rental companies, very likely there are some of these boxes lying around in the dust.
