Just loosen the clamps and slide off the post. . . and then onto a speedrail rig. I also added a threaded hole at the top for additional grip tricks if needed. In the era of front mounted Cp vests several folks drilled holes in the Cp plate and used the same type of U bolts to attach to speed rail rigs of one sore an another. Works well will sometimes slip a little under load. Hope you have fun with your brand new classic toy... ps love the hole in the middle of the plate...
