Premium Members Dave Wowchuk Posted March 21, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 Whatever you do, DON'T USE BERT!!! More here: Bert is Evil! Jim "you've been warned" Bartell Well thanks a lot Jim, my daughter will never look at the Bert the same way again. Why don't you just come over and tell her there's no Santa while you're at it! hehehe. (I love the site ... the evidence is hysterical.) Premium Members Afton Grant Posted March 21, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 Mee, mee, mee.... meemee, meeeeeeee! Mee. mee. Erwin Does nobody else recognize the tall, thin, very nervous silhouette in my avatar? I'll fight you for him, Erwin. The funny thing about this thread is, in a year or so, when we've all gone back to regular avatars, some poor user will be browsing the archives and have absolutely no idea what we're talking about. Premium Members Afton Grant Posted March 21, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 Does nobody else recognize the tall, thin, very nervous silhouette in my avatar? Chicken? Ho hum..... the novelty of a clever amalgamation of muppet and logo has worn off like that lame protective green strip on your razor blades that seems to last for one shave. Now I have to revel my sources.

Premium Members Charles Papert Posted March 21, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 If I had jumped into the fray with you freaks, I too would have picked Beaker. Great minds think alike, Afton. And coincidentally, so do we.
Premium Members David Allen Grove Posted March 21, 2007 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 This is by far a more productive thread than say, that other thread, This one is a lot more fun and shows the humorous side of folks. Although not nearly as popular as the other (13,000+ hits?!?!?). No wonder Jerry Springer is still on the air. <_< Funny enough.. this was actually a scientific experiement to see which muppet charactors you guys were drawn too. Perhaps you see a little bit of that muppet you picked in you??? hmm. The only person I'm really worried about (for the moment) is Dan.. um, Dan, you picked Miss Piggy! Care to explain? haha. just kidding. ;) Afton, that was clever of you to make us guess. I think, say, an Ernie muppett would have been an easier guess for all. Jim. That link just proves that Bert and Ernie are not "Domestic Partners" as rumor has had it for many years. Although, I've been watching a lot of teletubbies lately with the boy. I think Tinky Winky really isn't gay either just has tendancies towards cross dressing is all. Oh Charles, come on pick your muppett and join the rest of us freaks!!! It'll be fun. Ok. I've officially lost my mind.

It does make me wonder what our children will think if their role models are strange people with televisions in their tummy and are crossdressers!!! Premium Members David Allen Grove Posted March 21, 2007 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 Jason, Only one of the teletubbies is a cross dresser as far as I can tell.. so I wanted to make that clear. I think it just goes to show that there are all sorts of different people out there in the world that like to do things differently. Some like to have tv's surgically implanted in their "tummys"... whaaaaat? :o
Premium Members Afton Grant Posted March 21, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 Here we go again, who thought of it first...?  R Actually, the jurisdiction of my dibbs on the Beaker Avatar only extend as far as the United States. Erwin, originally being from Switzerland, is able to to use the avatar here on this international forum and I unfortunately have no recourse. I remember when I met Erwin at Cinegear in June 2006. He gave me his word then that if he ever used the B-A I would receive appropriate credit. As we have seen thus far, Erwin has already received the highest honor one can receive when making a joke on a web forum: the coveted "LOL". ...and I am nowhere to be mentioned. Oh Charles, come on pick your muppett and join the rest of us freaks!!! It'll be fun. From what I hear, Charles was one of the original B-A proponents, and really put a lot of effort into improving it. However, he just wasn't getting the help he needed from Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and ultimately could never get the damn thing to say more than one word. This is why Charles remains true to his mascot. Bartech users in strange new lands (that look dangerously close to ordinary industrial spaces) are looking to further their careers by imitating the Muppets. Jim, you must put a stop to this before they drag your good name into the mud.
