Transvideo Rainbow UHF

I'm waiting for the one with built in bubble level and framelines. Add HD input as an option and I'll be happier than a pig in slop.

 

And make it transflexive (or whatever the term is) and I'll be even happier than the guy who's happier than a pig in slop.

 

Oh, and keep it under $5,000. B)

Saw it last week...

Called and got someone on the phone that never heard of that unit... promised to call back with info...

Nobody called back yet...

Nobody picked up the last several times I tried to call...

Left several messages...

 

So far no answer...

 

Not very promising start to a Customer/manufacturer relationship...

i emaled them and got an answer within 2 hours.

 

When i broke my Cine III bracket i recieved a new one in 2 days. When i call or email, i get answers very fast.

I know there asking price for this lcd, but i removed it from this post. I think the want to release it after or during NAB

Irwin,

 

You have called and talked to Noel who told you that the monitor with UHF tuner built-in will be shown at the NAB and that we do not have a price yet.

You have left a message yesterday. I have called you back 4 times this am, everytime I got your answering machine.

The information is still the same: we do not have the price yet. We will not have the price until the NAB. The first unit will be flown in the day before the NAB starts by the President of the factory.

 

I do not appreciate your nasty comment on our behavior towards clients. We take great pride in going the extra mile to service the equipment and our clients, day after day after day. I do not think you ever ordered something we did not deliver on time (usually the same day). You have never needed any repair on your Transvideo equipment, but if you do, you know we do most of our repairs same day or next day.

 

Your comment is incorrect and it is spiteful. You have no right of treating us this way.

I'd like to jump in to praise Transvideo, and Marianne.

 

I ordered my Cine 3a from Derrick, and got it the next day. (needed it fast for an out of the country shoot)

 

Also ordered some custom cables, and they were shipped same day. (Had them shipped ground cause I didn't need them straight away)

 

You should be carefull of your comments, Erwin. You are an influential person on this board, and a moderator to boot. Transvideo has been an excellent vendor to lots of us.

Let's chalk this up to miscommunication. I'm friends with both sides and know them to be honest, reliable, and top notch integrity. And I've often caught flack for the tone of my emails being misinterpreted.

 

Enough said.

 

Looking forward to seeing the Rainbow monitor at NAB and my dream monitor one of these days soon...

Hello,

 

I'm working with Transvideo products for the last 12 years and not once did they fail on me.

Also, Marianne took about 3 hours of her time lately to talk to me about her line of products. She was very knowledgeable, open to suggestions and helpful.

Marianne and Noel at Transvideo have been wonderful to work with. My monitors have been great in all respects and the customer service is second to none. Marianne has always been prompt and courteous and when she doesn't have an answer she makes sure to do the fact finding and then calls back to let me know.
