Hi All,

Looking for a good and safe solution to hang the rig in the camera truck for transport. I know the case is the best option, but wanted to look for other solutions.

thanks

I use a 4" thick foam "bed" with a cut-out that fits the rig. I just lay it down on a shelf with a shot bag across the post to keep it from bouncing out.

Hi Alfeo

I made up this case when I was on a long series. On rap I would just put the rig as is in case ,close the side and the 2nd AC would put it in the camera truck .Its made from plywood and velcro and has foam all over .Saves time at both ends of the day .Works well.

Good luck

Where did you get the foam?

Thanks

It was a large piece of set dressing foam from some show (free). I cut pieces and glued it to the top to fit around the rig. I think you can purchse foam at Diamond fabrics/foam on LaBrea just N of Wilshire.
