Hi Erwin -

I'm here. Sorry to not have sent you the article, but I don't have your email address. I'm happy to send it if you tell me your email address. Really... It's not a problem at all...

Best,

Alan

FYI:

I think it's a mood point...

I replied a while ago to this offer and never received anything... So I'm guessing that he was/is overwhelmed by the demand and just stopped send it out.

But good luck,

Erwin

Thanks for my copy Alan, it's superb writing from Ted as always. Does anyone know what film he's referring to when he gives the fantastically-evocative description of what's going on in his head during a long shot? It's on pages 10 and 11 of the PDF.

Hi Alan,

I'd love to read a copy.

thanks mate.

Heard a great little story from a close friend of Ted's about him complaining about a "TV" director after he did the Simon and Garfunkel concert in Central Park in '82. very funny.

G'day guys, stumbled across the thread while reading the archives...

if anyone's still got a copy they'd be willing to pass along, i'd certainly appreciate the opportunity to read it.

Absolutely loved the "operators maunal of style", in fact i'd say it's part of the reason that I thought steadi-operators were so cool all these years.

Cheers,
