Premium Members Bill Brummond Posted July 17, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 17, 2007 At Cinegear, I talked to a guy from a rental house in Toronto, John DeBoer. He showed me a chinese battery from SWIT. It gets around the Li-ion transport problem by spliting the battery into two pieces for shipping. The two pieces quickly snap together combining the 2 80wh batteries into a 160wh battery. That's good, right? Anton Bauer attachment, very light. I forget what he paid for them buy it was very cheap. His rental house has been using them for 2 years with no problems. Here is the website. It is model S-8170A http://swit-battery.com/swit2006/english/productdetail.asp Maybe I'm the last to know.
