Chinese Batteries

At Cinegear, I talked to a guy from a rental house in Toronto, John DeBoer. He showed me a chinese battery from SWIT. It gets around the Li-ion transport problem by spliting the battery into two pieces for shipping. The two pieces quickly snap together combining the 2 80wh batteries into a 160wh battery. That's good, right? Anton Bauer attachment, very light. I forget what he paid for them buy it was very cheap. His rental house has been using them for 2 years with no problems.

Here is the website. It is model S-8170A

Maybe I'm the last to know.

I use those chinese batteries too. Phylions, 160wh Used them for the last 2 years on a daily basis with no issues at all. I have six, but only use 3 on a hard day. Never let me down, no software issues or other crap i had with other brands. Traveling is no problem eighter.

In fact, there so cheap that if the ever fail, i just buy a new one.
