Sorry I answer late, because we have a really nice project now, to help people in Africa in the war "sing for Africa" and that´s why I was so busy. Wow . . . I understand not everything what you mean ( because of my English) but really thank´s for your help !! ! Yes I like to do this job "professional" because to work with a steadicam is for me . . . a felling . . . I can´t explain it . . . I have now two friends here in Spain (there are work long time with the steadicam and there are really good operator) who help me to start this business well !!! Si . . . yes I already have speak with my bank about a credit for buy a new steadicam and they want help me, but I don´t like to have a credit, but yes I am also not sure this money is enough for a good rig. I have really "some" good jobs now with my small steadicam but this is not enough, I like to do some more "professional" jobs and yes therefor I need a better, more professional steadicam . . . But you can´t trust the most people, because if they want sell something they always tell you . . . my steadicam is the best and I have not so much Experience in this business. But your information was really helpful for me . . . Thank´s Ingo Ingo, There's some great advice given here so far. I'd just like to add that if you think that you'll only shoot video, then something like the Steadicam ProVid should be adequate. On occasion, they go on sale for around $14,000 USD. The heaviest camera you'll get on there is a Sony F900, but if you don't think you'll have reason to fly anything heavier, then for now, get what you can and you can start working it right away. Over time, like so many others here, you'll have that paid off and will be making money that you can use to invest in something larger if and when you need to. Good luck! There is also a newer provid 2 but slightly updated in looks it is for max 22 lbs and cannot handle the F900 i think.. Sometimes he has good offers on complete rigs. I have bought my second rig off him and find them very well made. Also you might get a rig that can be upgraded while you start practicing and earn money. You also can check with Robert Luna for a used arm or whatever he might be able to offer you. A used rig can be bought under 20.000 Euro. I encourage you not to invest in gear that will be obsolete after short while. Rather wait with aks that you don´t need now. Ich habe zwar kein ganzes Systhem zu verkaufen aber immerhin einen Arm ( Baer-Bel). Ich selbst habe ca. 3 Jahre damit gearbeitet und konnte mir jetzt einen Pro- Arm leisten, der halt doch noch ein wenig mehr wegfedert. Für den Anfang und das kleinere Budget ist der Arm völlig in Ordnung. Ich habe außerdem auch ein Rig von Markus Bernhardt ( Baer- Bel ) mit dem ich ziemlich zufrieden bin. Ich bin mir auch sicher daß man mit Baer-Bel reden kann, da er selbst auch fast immer gebrauchte Teile auf Lager hat. Ein großer Vorteil ist sicherlich daß man sich alles ansehen kann und den service in Deutschland hat. Falls daß für dich interessant klingt schau doch mal auf der Seite www.baer-bel.de vorbei. Ich selbst wohne und drehe im Moment in Hamburg wo du gerne Arm und Rig testen kannst. Bei Fragen ruf mich einfach an. Jochen 0171/9329201. Für den Arm würde ich gerne ca. 7900 ? bekommen. LG. I bought 2 ekstra Digital Propac 14 65w InterActive 2000 batteries about a year ago - so all together there are 4 batteries and one 4 mount charger including the set. I have been very happy for the rig but now I got a PRO rig and don't really need the EFP as a back up rig any more ;) I'm asking 11.000 Euro for the west, arm, rig, batteries, docking and tools - contact me on "mail@torbenmeldgaard.com if you are interested.
