Hi Everybody !

I belief the most people here now already, I seeking for a new steadicam and I am now not so a professional and that´s why I´m happy for every information ! ! !

I have start few month ago with a small "Baby" steadicam "Aviator" from VariZoom,

but this "rig" is not anymore enough for me.

But you know the money is now not enough for buy a really professional rig

and that´s why my question.

I have see on ebay.com the steadicam "silver arrow 925".

Is this steadicam also only a Toys, or much better as my "Aviator" ?

I need a steadicam for TV cameras, which I can use also with wireless follow focus / iris

and zoom control.

Thank´s for every help and have a nice day . . .

Ingo

Do a search on this forum. Spend hours on reading, there is a LOT of usefull info in here. If you have done this, you would know what kind of crap the Basson is.

Then again, if you like to mod and repair, this could be it. if not, save your pennys and get yourself a decent rig. Going the basson route means trowing away your money.

Believe me, we arn't happy to pay the big bucks for high quality. I know better ways to spend my money. But then again, every time i open up my cases i think, damn, this is the best spend money i can think of.

More than anything, TAKE A WORKSHOP!!!! Peter Abraham is a great guy and offers a wide gamut of flyer courses, the SOA workshop in May and October is your best bet. Jerry & crew really knows their stuff. The MKV course in europe looks great also (Depending on where you live). Any course is good really.

With the SOA course, granted it is sponsored by tiffen, but usually you will get to see most of their entire line of toys-errr....-tools that they offer from the flyer on up to the latest and greatest ultra 2 so you will see what the different types of equipment there is and what is best suited for you.

I can tell you aside from reading this forum, from head to toe, is the best money you will ever spend.

Hi Kevin !

Really Thank´s for your information.

Yes a workshop is important i think and I belief, I move not so bad with the steadicamnow , bacause I practice every day 2 - 3 hours and my clients is contented with my work, but I want to be much more better!

It is very important for me to be a really good operator ! ! !

That is this job what I always wanted to do. I am 16 years a cameraman, but with steadicam was always to be worked my wish. However, I was many years a war cameraman and police reporter and there I needed no steadicam.

Thank´s

Ingo
