marky c
I'm a grip building an Atv rig, and was wondering... should the hard mount gear be included with my package... or would the mounting the steadicam be the camera dept. responsability? Where does grip end and camera begin? (ie. the mitchell plate or speed rail)

Where does grip end and camera begin? (ie. the mitchell plate or speed rail) It's the steadicam operators responsibility. the Grips responsibility ends at the mitchell plate. Premium Members Charles Papert Posted December 23, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 23, 2007 Agreed, although a number of key grips seem to have their own Garfields in their package (and generally seem almost surprised that I have one, which is truly strange). I personally prefer mounting it on the ball leveling head mount as it makes it much easier to preset the pitch of the arm, but for a really aggressive ride I'll use the 4-way leveller as it is a more positive lock.
