Wireless Transmitter & Receiver

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Steadicam and gearing up at the moment,

What is the best price/quality wireless video tx/rx out there?

I browsed through most topics in here and people praise the Canatrans a lot.

It's quite expensive though and only a tx.

I already have the 8.4'' Panasonic monitor. Anyone experience with hooking wireless up to that?

Thanks in advance,

Jerry

Jerry,

People like to pair the Canatrans with this:

http://crampedattic.com/camos/index.htm

This is even a step up from that with removable antennas and add-on recievers:

http://hpvideo.tv/

Probably why it's popular to sell Tx and Rx seperately..

The Camos monitor is not very bright though...only 400 nits.

Below are some PDF files that reference each model #

7002 - $1000

6501S - $1900

6502S (1.2ghz) - $3300

6502S (2.4ghz) - $2900

Note that the 6502 models come with both a transmitter and a 2nd reciever (besides the monitor itself), and have the option for that 2nd reciever to be a diversity reciever (2 antenna inputs).
