Marianne Exbrayat
Goodbye Bob: I have just returned from a 2-week trip to find the sad news. I have supplied equipment to the film industry for 20 years. And a few times to Bob Ulland. Bob was always courteous, unpretentious and kind. He always put a smile on our faces when he walked in. I will miss him. Marianne - Transvideo international.
Premium Members Bud Kremp S.O.C. Posted April 15, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 15, 2009 Hi all, I just visited GPI yesterday and saw Bob's equipment lined up on the floor. I was informed it was there, sadly, because he had just passed away. I first met Bob, while shooting industrial video at the Daytona 500 (he was there filming "Days of Thunder"). He was very sweet and offered as much information as I could request of him. After moving to Los Angeles our paths crossed many times over the years. I will miss him. (the picture of his vest is exactly how it was when I arrived at GPI. It struck me as poetic.) My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones. To Mike McGowen, I am truely sorry to hear about your dad. I remember my time with Big Mike very fondly. I look forward to trading stories with you when you are in Los Angeles again. In the words of the late singer/song writer Warren Zevon, "Enjoy every Sandwich". Cheers, Bud Kremp
