MK-V Goes Bust in court!!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi All

Not sure how this has remained quiet but it shouldn't!

A quote from a reliable source

"Breaking News: MK-V announces it is going bust on 6th March and is being wound up in court while defending a lawsuit from a former employee. Admits it can't afford to pay any fines etc. and will be winding the company up."

Now as an ex worker at MK-V can I be the first to say YAY!

I have first hand seen how the customer service works at MK-V and it a disgrace to all the other people who service this small community. I for one am glad this has happened. I have also seen the denial of any problems with gear to customers. Even to the engineers who work there. So much so that they get fired if they try to say something is wrong!

Anthony

Disgruntled Employee of the month

(Mr Eric Fletcher may get that one!!! lol)

My condolences to those that have the gear (including myself) hopefully someone steps up to the plate to offer tech support in the near future. In my case it's just a post and gimbal but there are others who have the entire rig.

Hi All

This is not at all the case!

We are restructuring the MK-V Group, due to expansion and investment.

There is now -

MK-V USA LLC

MK-V Europe Ltd

and MK-V ASIA.

Simply - I have closed down the other older MK-V UK companies, Systems and Hire as they were no longer of use.

This is all. plain and simple.

Business is usual if not better! and sales are going through the roof.

MK-V continues to go from strength to strength.

We also have a whole new product range coming on line in time for NAB...

We will see you all at NAB and we will have the new Omega system there...

Phone numbers and email remain the same.

I look forward to working with you all in the years to come!

See you all soon.

Thank you.

Howard

That's an awfully quick response from someone who claims he never visits this board. Shame his service isn't as quick when dealing with any of his "non-existent" problems.

And I just found out that Howard has threatened someone if they post....

Last I checked this board is based in the US where Free speech reigns. So if Howard's Ex-employees wish to post here they are most welcome.

The worste part is, he did it himself. Its sad though, it had potential, and it could be hughe. When he started to screw people over, the shit began. This community is to small to do that stuff. But of course its all our fault. ( He accused me of having a dubble agenda and wanted to take over mk-v, i have really no idea what kind of small bugs came in his head ) Thx for screwing me over was his last line to me. lol, talking about deniel. All i wanted is a v3 system that actually works. When i reported the issued i had his reponse was, what are you talking about, it works. No Howard it dasnt work in the REAL world. Perhaps it works for those people out there doing some small stuff, but for us it isnt working the way it SHOULD work. Back to the drawingtable. All i want is to get a clear HD signal to my monitor, is that to much to ask? Its designed for it!!!! No more reply of course. I got tons of emails full of lies, dont get me started. Not to mention the people on his office. I guess he gets what he deserves. Damn, its a real shame, so much potential down the drain. I almost feel sorry for him. if he only was..... Never mind

But I warned everyone long ago not to do Biz with Howard.

And I even before you Eric (when you were still supporting him and before you saw the light :D ).

Back in 2003 I sold my first Steadicam and decided I would try the MK-V. I was the first LA operator to buy his top of the line sled then, only to have returned it 3 days later since it was sub-par and getting a hold of MK-V or getting customer support was so difficult. And I then got the angry emails.

Nothing has apparently changed.

Post edited as it was unfair of me to state it was mind boggling anybody would buy MK-V gear in the past year. I have no idea who has bought MK-V gear in the past year therefore in my original post I did not, and was not, singling anybody out as some might of felt.

There are many people who do not know of the past issues with MK-V, so they may be perfectly happy with their recent purchase. That would be like me stating anybody who has bought a GM in the past year was foolish for doing so after seeing the warning signs of the possible collapse of GM. It would just not be fair to say that generic comment.

The post was simply to note that I have experienced the issues at MK-V and along with many others have warned them against buying MK-V gear in the past.

Sorry for the confusion on my part, no ill will intended to anyone (well maybe MK-V he he). It was meant to be a "buyer beware" point.

Cheers.

or when a company is trying to get rid of its debt by not paying it.... The morality and legality of doing the later but continuing to operate under another name always seems questionable to me.

Well as there was only one owner of MK-V modular systems. Ding Ding Ding I think we have a winning answer!!!

Why dump a whole company who's name people knows to lose modular systems and to add europe instead when you can change a company name no problem......
