Adjustment screw - flat or concave?

I have a question gentlemen. I am thinking if the tip of the screw should be more rounded or oval as to fit the concave design of the female block on the vest? All male block screws I've seen are flat. Why make the spar that the screw will fit into concave when the screw is flat? Do I make sense? Posted a pic below

They usually start there life flat like that, but after a while just through brute force, they will start to get round and deformed to that point where you have to cut them down to back them out or replace them. Walter Klassen's screws are nicely machined to a round tip... also the "wing nut" part is machined Aluminum and he used threaded bolts versus screws. The ones from GPI are more conical at the tip... it depends on the style screw that is used and pressed into the plastic wing nut. I would put a file to the tip and get rid of the first two or three threads... so as it deforms over time, it will not grow in diameter until you can't back it out...

I hope that makes any sense at 3 am... have to go to work now.
