  3. I like Sanjay's solution. You sure should try the legal road but sometines... Last year a colleague , after talking to the production several months , used a gentleman from a well-known motorcycle-'club' who just talked to the production manager in person. Just letting him know that there was an open invoice. It cost him 500,- but the invoice was immediately paid.

  11. Hi guys, I don't know if it's a stupid idea but I just try. I need some parts for a new sled but don't need everything. If I find enough people who are looking for new equipment and want to get a 14% discount on everything then we have a deal. I buy the package and would take: the center post and the CineLive electronics for sure and if nobody is interested in the gimbal or the battery rack, I will take it too.(I do have a DB3, a Pro II gimbal, maybe a battery rack, monitor arm) For sale with a 14% discount would be: Pro Vest Pro Atlas Arm with 4 canisters DB II with bracket Gimbal with Grip battery rack IV Monitor Arm What do you think? Cheers, jens

  13. Dear Russ, I don't know you in person but I easily can imagine your situation. And since I really much appreciate this steadicam community, I wanted to post my oppinion. I really hope that you will recover pretty fast. But telling from the connotation of your post I have no doubt that you will because you still haven't lost your humor. So please keep it that way. One other thing is your financial situation, I don't know about your insurance situation. Actually I would be in big trouble paying my monthly payables. It probably doesn't help very much and telling you directly isn't very polite so I would like to ask Janice who started this topic what we could do. Here is my humble suggestion, I would like to transfer let's say maybe around 500,- to an Russ' accident account and if some more people joined that could cover some payables for a few months. Or everyone could look through their back-up stuff which we tend to have too much and we have a steadicam forum garage sale. The proceeds of this sale we could transfer to that account. What do you think? Ok Russ, hang loose and keep recovering. Cheers, jens
  14. Thanks Jens, good to know (und Gruesse zurueck)
  15. Hi guys, first of all thanks for your comments and thoughts. I just can repeat it, I love the steadicam forum. As for my strange problem - Tuomas, I unfortunately couldn't hide it because we were in the process of rigging down the camera for a wired one. And then the focus puller noticed that, when I plugged out my bnc cable , all of a sudden the interferences were gone. With nobody else around I probably would have plugged in directly to the monitor and have said, I did a very complicated repair and now everything is fine ;-) I used a wireless camcorder from Ikegami (first time for me), had the BFD for focus and my sled is the new carbon sled from Baer.Bel. I wasn't connected in any kind with the sound department, no microphone on the camera, no sound transmitter attached. Being an antenna with my sled would be kind of logical to me, but this time it seems I had an sled that had become a transmitter. Plus my position in the studio wasn't very close to the sound department. I'll let you know when I have found out something. Fly safe and don't 'interfere' , jens
  16. Hi All, I have had a strange problem with my internal HD cable. When I plugged in the HD signal from the camera to my internal HD-cable of the sled, the sound department in the TV studio had massive interference noise on their public address system speakers in the UHF-range. Then I connected Camera directly with my monitor on no more problems. Anyone had the same problems or any idea? Thanks in advance. Cheers, jens
  17. Thanks Ken, big help, because I was told by the chief technician that they don't use wireless tally. But I couldn't believe that. Fly safe and best wishes - cheche ni, jens
  18. Nihao, short, quick question - has anybody experience with the wireless standards for TV shows in china. I was told that they just use 'one-way-systems'. Means neither iris control nor tally light from the CCU. Thanks in advance. Cheers, jens
  19. Hi Zach, I saw this on ebay france http://www.ebay.de/itm/steadicam-zephyr-HD-/151027507363?pt=Fr_YO_Photo_Trepieds&hash=item2329f0e0a3
  20. When I started out with steadicam a nice colleague gave me the advice not to limit myself with a low capacity arm. I didn't follow that advice because of budget problems and immediately regretted that decision. Maybe you should keep in mind that you need a good load capacity if those big jobs are coming. Plus I always have made very good experience with Robert Luna.
  21. Greats guys! Thanks for your ideas. Cheers, jens
