  1. I am looking forward to it, but I am used to passing audio thru it. I use it a lot on C300 jobs, where I have the Arrow+ in the shield, power it and feed it the HDMI signal, then I put the receiver on a Marshal V-LCD70MD 7" hi rez monitor, This monitor has a headphone out, so the director can hold the monitor, and plug into the headphone jack and hear everything perfectly, The audio guys LOVE me cause they don't have to worry about feeding the director an IFB signal and belt pack. The AB battery powers the Monitor and the Receiver with the regulator P Tap and all fits inside the IKAN monitor bracket. Sweet set up. almost has paid for itself already on jobs. I don't mind the NO HD/SDI loop thru, but the audio issue may be a "wait for the next one" issue for me.
  2. Love that Time Lapse Mike, And to those that think GoPro's aren't professional, They are used ALL the time in the Reality and competition TV world. I got my first 3 GoProHD's in November 2009 and since then I have not worked a show where we haven't used them, and when the Go Pro 3 came out with the more narrow field of view selection, well.., that took it to a whole new level, no more world warping.. It's so popular now with production companies that I sold mine cause I was not getting rental out of them any longer. But my first 3 paid for themselves maybe 20 times over in the first year. Now I doubt that would happen, being that production can pick them up at a best buy anywhere for 400 bucks. Can you imagine the clarity and ease of use of similar products in 3-5 years?!
  3. Hi folks. For sale: BOXX Cobalt system, ( SD, or component Video Tx and Rx) Comes with Boxx Transmitter ( 5Ghz and 2.8Ghz switchable) with AB mounts both sides. It can be powered from a Batt when sandwiched between the batt and camera? or you can power it via the 4 pin Hirose on the Tx via one of the power cables included which are: Hirose 4 pin to PRO- Vid/Pwr 4 pin Hirose 4 pin to Hirose 4 pin ( like on the rear of most Broadcast cameras) Hirose 4 pin to XLR4Male Hirose 4 pin to P Tap 3 palet style antennas The system also transmits audio although I never used this option. Comes with mini xlr 5 pin to standard XLR5Female ( for the audio out of some broadcast video cams also mini xlr 5 pin to standard headphone male jack Boxx receiver 5Ghz and 2.8Ghz switchable with 2 antennas AC Power supply 100V - 240V input 12 V output Power cable for AC power supply Breakout Multi Pin cable loom with component connectors, Audio left and right connectors and 4 pin XLR connector. ( I've never used the Multi Pin loom) The receiver can be powered via the AC power supply, or the Hirose 4 pin connector on the unit. you can use one of the above Hirose connectors to power the receiver and another or AB brick to power the Transmitter. I had Nebtek install a male side AB plate to one side of the receiver so you can attach it to the back of a monitor, etc.. but it is only there to mount it, not connected internally, I would guess you can install a receiver plate on the opposite side and have it wired like the transmitter so you could attach it behind a monitor and then add a Batt to it and power both, but that would be up to you. The receiver is powered thru it's 4 pin Hirose like the Tx unit. Price $1850 shipped Priority via USPS to anywhere in the continental US. Outside of the US, Shipping is not included. Any questions please message me, Thanks Pics
  4. Nothing patronizing about my post, I was trying to help you get more interest in selling your sled. Osvaldo
  5. Kevin Andrews has the lower electronics to a PRO 1 sled with the upgraded Quick release for 450 bucks, ( no batteries, but the chocolate bar batts are easy to find used) check the Classified section. Buy a used 3A gimbal for 1500,, then look for someone with a Pro quick release post set up with the top stage and SD cable ( probably like 1500), you'll have some cash left over to start looking for a monitor bracket and a Donkey Box. You can start with a 3A Top slider or buy a new or used DB2.
  6. Yes that sled belongs to James Baldanza, SOC It flies great, has everything you need on a sled, will not need to be upgraded for many many years, motorized top stage, HD/SDI down the post, Just an excellent system. Only the sled on that sale, you can get a used good shape EFP/3A arm for about $4200usd and a used 3A vest for $1500usd at times. I would say to use the current Archer vest for now, but the socket system on those vests won't attach to the 3A arm.
  7. There are only like 6 of us here in South Florida, and just be warned, we have guards at all the Major Highways and out on the coastal waters.. NO new Rigs or Ops are allowed! Well, except for Manny Bonilla, Tore Livia and Rob V, they're almost residents , they're here so much. And Rob... No good trails here for your Hummer, only lakes to ford thru.
  8. You have about 24 hours I believe, to edit your listing, after that, it's there as is, you can only add another reply with changes, but try and keep the replies to your own add to once every 3 days ( forum sales courtesy on most forums) to give other folks a chance to have their marketplace ad seen as well.
  9. Posting pics here in your add will greatly increase the chances of someone even starting to think about it, unfortunately in todays age of instant visual gratification, Potential buyers want to see pics right in the ad, Having to email you for pics and waiting is enough to dwindle the amount of folks who would give the ad a second look. Good luck!. Take a sec, learn how to post pics, and post a bunch of pics. Have a great day.
  10. Hi, Why would people find out you rent things?. You quote a price for you and the rig, Period, You call the operator who will rent it to you and tell him/her you have a hold for a job and you will solidify the hold to a "for sure rental" a few days before the job. If the operator gets a job and cannot rent it to you, they will call you right away hopefully, so you can reach out to your other resource for a FF unit... And know this... If you go do your job, and you don't get paid, that's not the fault of the operator who rented you his/her FF unit, you still have to pay them.( just to be clear). Get to know a few operators near you who have more than one BFD, or other FF unit. Contact Jim at Bartech Engineering so he can show you the BFD system, better yet, Make absolutely sure you go to the Steadicam Expo at Film tools this coming weekend. There you'll meet dozens of Steadicam ops, there will be a swap meet, Most every manufacturer will be there, Look for other jobs out there on your days off, PA's, catering assistant, etc,, anything to scrape together the cash to get a single channel system and a motor, A single channel BFD and Analog motor sells for about 3500-4000 today in the used market. Hussle!, and you'll get what you need. Hopefully..In a years time you'll read your own post in this topic and laugh at how worried you were, while you look at your full size rig next to you in it's case.!! Good luck.
  11. The folks at symbiosis seem to have a better relationship with the folks in AUS to get units and ship them out. I got mine back within 2 weeks after they received it. Kudos to them!
  12. Rob showed me the horizon unit on a show here in Miami I visited him on. Very nice!. However when i pulled out my phone to snap a picture he poked me in both eyes and flew him and the rig away to a restricted area. The sensor is small and can be placed anywhere. Directly under the sled seemed like a great place.
  13. Here are the names of 3 ops who I would believe at least 2 out of the 3 names are the operators. Manny Bonilla Rob Vuona Tore Livia
  14. XCS 2" CF Carbon Fibre Super Post with 8 pin Lemo SD PRO cable and PRO/GPI threaded ends. Comes in rigid canvas covered slip tube/case. $2900 includes shipping anywhere in the US. Pictured here with the Pro Lite lower stage and the Top stage and DB on it, None of those things are included. Only the Super post, cable, and shipping tube. No Docking Bracket, etc..
  15. Working Steadicam operators whos main source of income is the work of steadicam....not even half that number...worldwide. And MANY steadicam ops whos work you see on the big screen all the time seldom frequent the forum.
  16. Being that some of what I consider legitimate manufacturers don't make the complete system, like Walter Klassen or XCS, that really only leaves Tiffen, PRO/GPI and Sachtler. Someone can buy a Basson Steady rig from South America and slap a Cinetronic Monitor, use a Steadyrig Arm, with a Klassen Vest and have a much better overall system. PRO/GPI** Vest, Arm, Sled STEADICAM/TIFFEN** Vest, Arm, Sled XCS** Sled STEADYRIG** Arm and Sled SACHTLER** Vest, Arm, Sled MKV** Sled Betz** Sled And of course Glidecam* Vest, Arm, Sled...The Glidecam stuff is definitely getting better, they may be the oldest seller of complete non steadicam branded systems out there... when was the V20 first sold? 1994? Someone? Anyone?
  17. I can't believe it's still available. Here is a picture of this Sled at Arri with quite the load on there. It flys great! Alexa, Codex.Cinetape. FF, Nano recorder, Boxx Meridian, etc..
  18. I have a Super Post but it's an XCS 2" with Pro threaded connectors top and bottom and an SD cable with semi rigid case.
