  1. I'm also interested in a GIII PRO lower raincover! Can't stand the seranwrap! Mee Too!! CAMERA ESSENTIALS!.... Listening?! A nice Gen 3 lower housing cover would rock!
  2. BOXX may have a tally system that would work, it's a wireless signal from the studio mounted antennae to your sled. Email Scott Walker at Boxx. His email is scott@boxx.tv I found this video he did on youtube, maybe this would work, but definitely email him. Ozzie

  4. "I bet all these news/reality guys have maginers and check them on" We rarely fly with any carts, we use PA's, much cheaper than the luggage charges.
  5. I just laughed so hard I woke up my son, Now someone's in trouble! PS. Definitely tell us about the adjustments on the vest. I had a Pro vest a while ago and looks like I soon will again. Their customer service is quite amazing really.
  6. How big does this Pro tattoo have to be and are there specifics of where it has to be?
  7. I like the idea. It would be nice to have a purchase option at the end of the lease though, Many folks may think like Alan about the cost difference between renting this one for 2 years, paying almost $11K on the high side and not owning an arm. Maybe setting up a conventional Payment plan would work, It would probably have a lot of interested folks, but there would have to be some way of securing payment with back up credit cards, credit checks , etc..added interest, etc.. Not everyone who wants an arm has the funds to buy it in one payment, if you get a loan from a bank, what will the loan cost you with interest when your paid off? A good idea definitely if folks could have a percentage of the lease be used towards the arm at lets say the current selling price of the arm, sort of a "Lease the arm for 2 years and XX% of your payments go towards the purchase price of $XXXXX when your done". And the Arm price is locked when you start your lease. Protecting current leases against possible price increases during the lease term. A good idea, but risky for Steadyrig if the purchaser stops paying and doesn't return the arm., Not that it would happen, but Ya gotta try and think of everything. PS. I've used this arm and it's very very nice, very smooth. and I have taken it completely apart and back together on the kitchen table, everything is made well, and the step by step instructions on the site are detailed and give you the confidence to take this on with no worries.
  8. What brand, what do they look like, Pictures?, Mid level spreaders or floor spreaders?
  9. Gaylen on here may have just what you need. It seems 2 of his Microlite HD units for the cameras, and 2 of his multi channel Director monitors would work. The recording part for playback however would be something else, but I'm sure he can help with that too. I'm already at like $40-$50K for just the above mentioned stuff, without the recording unit. But you can attach an Atomos Samurai to the output of a receiver unit to record the footage and play back. Ask the audio mixer to attach a wireless audio receiver to the camera HD transmitter so the Audio and the video travel together wirelessly to the receiver unit and to the recorder at video village. That should help with any video delay. Just a thought. Contact Gaylen on here, he sets up good systems.
  10. I have the camera essential ones. I noticed that the one for the forward most section of the arm, ( the end with the arm post) has a sort of wax like inner layer which helps to repel the water just fine, BUT, the cover for the rear section that has a velcro line all the way down the cover to make it easier to attach, does not have this coating and only repels the slightest drizzle, but with enough drizzle or standard rain, the arm is soaked. With time, the section that does have the waxy layer does degrade and stops offering any water protection as you'll see the layer start to crack and peel away.. if anyone has come up with a FANTASTIC set of Arm Rain covers, please pass the info along. And yes, I know the PRO arm does not need covers, but if someone wanted a great set. Who makes them? As for the base cover, I'm interested too in a good PRO GEN 3 base rain cover. Last week I wrapped the entire bottom of the sled in industrial saran wrap, It worked, but oh so Fugly!
  11. Your Commercial spots for the Acura run like every 5 minutes on TV now! Holy Smokes. Wish you could have gotten paid per air play, you'd be raking it in! I even saw it in the movie theatre previews in Palm Beach 2 weeks ago!
