  1. Indeed a great gig to get on. I only did one of them for the latin group called MANA. 7D's, 5D's a 1D Mk5. What a mess of small cameras. I thought if they went with a bit of a bigger more production friendly camera they could jam sync all the cameras with TC and not take months to edit the piece. They did pay a decent rate though. I used the viewfactor cage a gear ring and was able to roll my own focus, although the director would keep telling me to let the focus go!, Oh well, they look nice. I would describe the vibe on that shoot like a jam session between musicians and the camera ops, everyone just do what they feel and the post folks will make sense of it somehow. The Director Rik will just softly guide folks where he wants over the comms. Here are a couple of pics of the rig for that shoot. Ozzie

  4. Pranav, the only time that a used Pro arm is for sale is when an operator retires, or moves up to be a full time DP or other job title. It is very very rare to see a used one for sale, they usually sell within a couple of hours. I would suggest contacting PRO to get a new one. You can get only the 4 canisters you would will need at first, then purchase the others when you need them in the future.. Good luck!!

  11. Hehehehe, Here are a couple of pics on different trips...The vest bag from Klassen is great!. I even left it behind the car once and backed up, dragging it a couple of feet. scratched up the bag, the vest is fine. Of course if I were to have run over it I'm sure it would be toast, but the same vest bag is with me today.
  12. Ahhh, Thanks for the advice, I had already bought 4 cables, 2 with the 90 degree din connectors and female bnc ends and 2 with straight connectors and male bnc ends Gonna go buy a ssd dock today if I can get thru the crowds. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
  13. Hi James!!!! Seems like only hours since we last communicated. I've shipped my Klassen in it's standard Klassen bag Fed ex, and checked on planes for the last 8 years without any incident. just a quick count 50+ flights. it shows wear but no damage to anything inside. just my experience...
  14. That Decimator 2 is on it's way to sell for more than new!, WOW it's gone up fast!! Good luck.
  15. I bought the Hyperdeck a few days ago, still haven't opened the box. Researching which SDD to get, the OCZ VERTEX 3 SATA III 2.5" SSD in the 240GB size seems like it will be the one, I'll probably get it next week and test it all out. I'd love to know if anyone has taken their Hyperdeck to some electronic guru to replace the din 1.0/2.3 connectors with standard BNC's?
