  1. Looks great. Have you used them yourself? If so what was turnaround time like? I will hit them up this week. Thanks! ~Jess
  2. I just got mine in the mail. They are available for order now. Same list price as the ST model it replaced(street price is about 2 grand). It now has user adjustable frame lines and the ability to put 1/4-20 mounts on the top and sides. Also they have a digital level for it but I don't know if it is available yet or not and haven't tried it: http://www.lcdracks.com/accessor/Camera-Top/V-LCD-HI.html Unfortunately they did not add an image flip function but the addition of the top and side mounts mean you can mount it upside down or put it in a yoke mount. Anyone know if anyone makes a yoke mount this monitor would fit in? Haven't had a chance to play with it much but outdoor visibility seems pretty damn good. Still no green screen but for 2 grand seems like a nice little HD monitor. At the daylight monitor shootout I thought the ST version of this monitor was one of the best ones there. ~Jess
  3. Anyone know a place in LA that will anodize a small batch of parts for a good price? Looking to do a few parts I have made. All 6061 aluminum. Want them to be black. Thanks, Jess
  4. Just as long as you remember the 10 horsepower motor.
  5. If that is the case then move the batteries out and re-static balance(move the camera in).
  6. What is the problem you are having with the motor?
  7. Correct, although I believe the advanced came with the IVS from the get go where as an older body would have been retrofitted with it. Or am I wrong about that? Doesn't really matter as the camera in question has it. The AC owns the camera package and will be bringing it with him from a different city than we are shooting in. Prep will be done on location not at a rental house and I don't think he has the low mode bracket so it will have to be sourced elsewhere hence the wondering if it is necessary. This is the low mode bracket: http://www.steadimoves.com/sr3ivslmb.gif ~Jess
  8. The SR3 Advanced doesn't have the front shoe but does have two screw holes in the handle. Jerry Hill has a specific low mode bracket but it looks like it only attached to the two screws in the handle. I guess my best bet is to talk to Jerry. I can have them get me the low mode bracket just wanted to see if I needed it before I start pushing for things since it looked like I might not. ~Jess
  9. I guess no one remembers film cameras... That's sad. Atleast I get to spend next month working with one :-) ~Jess
  10. Wait a minute. Peter, are you and the other people in these pictures members of the race of incredibly tiny people that assemble our gear? That would explain why I always have such a hard time soldering those damn lemo connectors......
  11. I would hate to see the lens that goes on.
  12. I know Jerry Hill sells one but it looks like it only attaches to the two 3/8-16 holes in the handle so does it really do much besides giving you a place to mount iris rods? Am I fine just screwing my plate into the handle using two screws? Thanks, Jess
  13. So will you be using it as a center post connector or a camera power/everything connector? :-)
  14. We don't bump into things, things bump into us! And for the record I have never fallen down, although the earth has fallen up to meet me on two occasions..... ~Jess
  15. And after hours of being a human tripod who wouldn't want their very own human docking stand? Its always right there when you need it (unless it has to be pee or wanders over to crafty.....) ~Jess
  16. That is one of the things that is so great about this forum. I have gotten so much help from people I barely know. Just looking to pay the favor forward any chance I can. ~Jess
  17. I have a 15ish pound plate you can use if you still need one. Im in Santa Monica. ~Jess
  18. Wish I had the cash. How about $110/month for the next 100 months? :-) ~Jess
  19. Topic says it all. Looking for some sort of female Mitchell mount. A used hi-hat that someone is willing to let go of cheap would be ideal. Thanks, Jess
  20. Anyone know the dimensions of a mitchell mount? I want to make a custom hardmount and don't have one handy. I think the center hole is somewhere around 3.5" and the whole thing is about 7" but don't know how exact those are. Also need to know how deep I should make the center portion. Thanks, Jess
  21. I already put my order in for a new one. Thanks though. ~Jess
  22. At that point you should have just chartered your own plane. Then you could have flown in style and it would have probably been cheaper :-) ~Jess
