And that is still the major important thing.., the bosses are happy. That is loud and clear to hear at the end of the video  But it is a funny clip, also nice details like carpet and text colours.. Best, Erik

Good Luck Elliott and fly SAVE ! Maybe you can let a assistent/spotter wear the battery belt, seems to be a better idea. Best, Erik

Elliott, I would be very carefull if i was you. The EFP did came with a lot of different springs. The red ones are the lightest of them and will go max 38 lbs (Red 18-38 lbs) Found the following from Rick (Richard Lewis) : Red 18-38 lbs Green 20-40 lbs Blue 25-45 lbs Black 30-51 lbs Gold 36-58 lbs I also think this arm with these Red springs are ok for Digibeta, 16MM and some 35MM : 35mm: Panaflex LW, Moviecam Compact/SL, Aaton 35 & Arri 235 16mm: Arriflex SR I, II, III, Aaton XTR/LTR Besides this all the Arri 435 is power consuming so you need fresh batts with a lot of power.., so final.. be carefull, or tried to use another arm or rig ! Best, Erik

Hi Stephen, Weight specs : 4,3 kg(9,6 lbs) incl. 2" viewfinder and CompactHD adapter 5,0 kg(11 lbs) incl. 2 "viewfinder and TriaxHD adapter Maybe you can arrange a Wireless HD adapter.. the weight of that, don't know. So yes, for you setup maybe a bit to light.., but maybe the lens delivers the weight you need but in case of a Fuijnon lens for example.. it delivers some 2.0 kg (4,7 lbs).. Best, Erik in my case without the viewfinder+nice lens will even fit within the max lbs of the flyer

I'm seriously considering to upgrade to larger system.. and need the xtra funds so need to sell with pain in my heart the Flyer. :( It turned out to be a excellent system with unbelievable performance ! Recently (like 2 weeks ago) i noticed the mirror problem with the monitor. Thanks to Robin / Tiffen this is solved by sending me a complete new monitor. The protection on the screen is still there.. So, complete system with black arm and black gimbal. It is a V-MOUNT Sled. As a extra 2 arm covers from Jerry Hill in case of rain conditions. Price : 5500 EURO or nice/reasonable offer ! (ex batteries and ex shipping ofcourse)

Job opportunity in Louisiana
Erik Brul replied to Chris Haarhoff's topic in Legal / Business Practices
Somehow after reading this all it seems that it is not so bad to live in a "little" country with a '"little" Corperate/Broadcast/Film world (field). I think i know all the guys who are operating Steadicam in the Netherlands on a regular base. For my at the moment 7 guys including myself. With 2 of them i have contact on a regular base. I also know what they approx rate is for jobs. Ofcourse i will look carefully at experience and available tools which in my case is the lowest hours/years of operating experience and the smallest rig. :( Sofar i can oversee, we don't have a rate issue overhere. It goes even further, when a potential client wants to shoot a particular date which is not possible for me.., i will be happy to inform this client to make contact with one of the other operators in the Netherlands. Good luck overthere guys ! ;) Erik -
New PowerCubes - Should I save them for special jobs?
Erik Brul replied to Robert Starling SOC's topic in Batteries/Power
I thought it was the other way arround ! I Mean, the "irrecoverable self-discharge or memory effect ", i have seen this with my formely used Nicad and Nimh batteries. Mostly with the NP1 in the old days. So i thought buying only Li ion batts will not have this kind of problems.., :( Erik -
Today i received a complete new monitor from Tiffen. I was just returned from a corperate shoot and put directly the monitor on the Rig. Miror is now possible and works great. The shot last week went however well and was great considering the mis-orientation of left/right.. Thanks Robin and thanks to Tiffen for this great customer service !!! Best, Erik

Hi Lukas, There are still some ops which use this Provid here or there. But maybe you can pop the question at Whitehouse AV in the USA. Don't know if the website is up to date, but they have still a provid for sale.. so maybe they can remove the monitor and just weigh it for you ? Try Derrick at dw at whitehouseav.com Hope this helps, Best, Erik

Here is the HDX900 on the flyer arm and Artemis sled. 2 Dionic90's, aprox. 1/2lb additional ballast on the battery. Camera stripped of it's battery and viewfinder. Clip on mattebox with one 4x4 glass filter. The arm was one hair short of being maxed out and flew really well. As you can see, it's real close to the gimble. But it's balanced pretty well. Hi Rick, Nice picture.., nice Sled. Looks like the Artemis DV Pro Sled, how are they match up ? I'm really thinking a couple of months now to use the same combination. Thanks for the picture.. Best, Erik

Nop, i didn't flip the monitor as well, just tilting the monitor. The Flip/Flop went automaticly. After this tried the mirror function, on/off no difference. More bad luck.., the protection rubber on the gimbal which prevents scratches between gimbal and handgrip on the post went of. Can this be clued with fast glue, or don't bother.. and leave it of. Erik

Hi all, Did a corperate today, needed some lowmode shots. First time with this Rig, so did the quick option, upside down Camera. Flip function did work, mirror don't... Is this a known problem with the Flyer Sled.. and how do i resolve this ? Thanx, Erik

Nice video, also nice because they announced the new Steadicam Pilot. I didn't hear from that one yet, so a bit of a suprise. Thanks, Erik -
