  2. Guys, I agree with all of you. Charles, you said a great phrase and I will keep in mind that. Eric, you also have right about the tenor of the set and the others personalities around you that can change yours. and Rob, Love my job and enjoy what I do everyday it's my prerogative, but it's tested hard by all factors that we face up in every work and no one of us has the same patience I don't claim to be or appear the nicer guy on the set, why? Because I can't expect that everyone on the set will be nice with me! Anyway, I try to do my best as Operator and Buddy with all crew everytime. But at the end, the only thing that can help the set and us to drive right, it's the alchemy/feeling that we have with the guy right back. My 2 Euro Cents! Steve
  3. Guys, first of all, Great Topic! I was called for a "3 days short-movie" this summer. Great DP, Great AC, there was only one problem... the Director was a "Crazy" Steadicam Lover. Shooting with Alexa... Starting in the first morning, finishing in dusk light. I think the Alexa have seen the tripod or handheld setup for about 30minutes in those 3 days. So... 9-10hours per day of Steadicam Shooting. Thanks to my beloved WK and stamina I was able to get every single shot the Director asked! But, at the end of those days... I felt myself tired and tapped, and I said some things to him that maybe, if I had been more quiet I would never said. In this kind of situations, what would you guys have done??? Best, Steve.
  4. Marco, if you are in Italy in late August, give me a call! I'll be in Rome... Best, Steve 3343172555
  5. The Leather it's the best solution! Steve
  6. Hi Guys! I have the decimator v2. It was powered from the Pro Sled by the normal 12v (14-15v). Alexa HD-SDI Input! What does it mean when the RED led light flickering and make a "BIP" sound??? Have you ever had this kind of issue? Thanks

  9. Hi Guys! Almost every single afternoon or evening (when I'm not working) I train my abs, back and arms at home... In my opinion, the Legs are in training when I work, there aren't best ways! Also... I'm a climber! So, I think it's a good sport to improve all my body just like in a swimming pool. Best, Steve.
  10. Best Words Haris! Matteo, happy you have found the solution! You remind me when in the first times I flew with an ARRIFLEX 2C on my first sled... there wasn't 24v power ouputs adapter on it... So... The Camera was powered in the old way just like when the "old" green screen knights operated with the Panaglide... Bad times for the balance... Personally I hate to be tied by HD-SDI Cables, Triax etc... But if you taked good shoots this means you are a good operator and your assistant a good assistant! Let's Keep in touch... in the early of next month you will receive an invitation! ;-) Best, Steve.

  12. Finally, Lars Erik said the right words. No one said: "Hi!" or... "Welcome and enjoy our family!" So... Hi Marcella. Welcome! You are in the right place to know what you need to know. Like LE said, be honest and contact some operators close to you for have a first Set experience such assistant or "stand carrier" Then, have a steadicam workshop, rent a rig, trying yourself, read books, manuals, watch dvds, film but... first of all... as soon as possible, be on a Set! There you will understand so many things that no one book or manual can teaching you! Remember... "There's no other way to learn the carpenter job than in the carpenter shop" Best, Steve.
  13. Hey Michael! How are you? Hope all goes well! Nice work buddy! Perfect operation! Best, Steve.

  15. 8.000 USD For a complete Master Film (Sled Arm Vest accessories) it's an excelent price! Wooow!!! Just looking for a Master sled for sale in the forum and you will know what I mean! For a good condition system it's a Great Price, really! You can training yourself with a simply handheld camera with about 10kg of weight. For the video in/outputs all depends about your camera and monitor sled (green screen monitor) doesn't work in HD... so if you have an HD camera... first thing, change it or buy a downconverter. Really simple... connect the SD signal cable from camera to the SD BNC input and power on the sled and monitor... must works. For the A/V input, it's must be the same cable for connect the Canon 5D... driving to the first shop and ask for a simple 5D jack cable with Video and Audio R/L separated. Remember also to power on the camera! For the rest of all.... Take a workshop!!! Ther's so many things to know about flying a steadicam... Personally, I'll never stop learning... Fly Safe! Best, Steve
  16. Eric, please... Read carefully before reply.... 1) Will NOT Be a my copy!!!! It's a stuff made by an existing Italian manufacturer (NOT ME)!!!! 2) Copy and Past from my last post: The ENTIRE COST of ALL it's around 50% cheaper..... I think the Gimbal will be around the cost of the Pro because it will be almost the same of now. The prices will change expecially for the boxes and center post. Hope to have gave all explanations. Best, Steve
  17. Andrea, I'm Glad to have a kind friend like you. Thanks so much for all your support. Guys, I received so many questions about these parts. So... Like Andrea has said, these is almost new stuff built in late 2010 and has been serviced by an existing manufacturer. All components that you saw it's part of the 1st prototype made for the new Rig. And for this reason, the entire cost of all it's around 50% cheaper than the new Sled that will be officially ready and on the market from february 2012. Anyway... the quality and cost of these 1st components will be the proof for the excellent performance of the next and official generation of this Sled. Best, Steve.
  18. Yes, you have lost them. Looking for the item in the pic. However, The best thing you can do it's give a call to Robert Luna for have a complete service. Luna Az-Tech work 1 (323) 938-5659 mobile 1 (310) 621-4763 e-mail rluna56@earthlink.net Best, Steve.
  19. Dear BUYERS: As someone think that these are some homemade or old stuff... I have upload some photos for clarification! THIS IS NOT AN HOMEMADE STUFF! As you can see... Pro Donkey Box it's on the Upper Junction Box (isn't for sale) but you can know that in the 4 holes on the box can be attached all top stages (Beltz/Pro etc) Lemo on the upper box are: SD and HD BNC, 4pin Focus, 2pin Aux, 3pin Size1 12/24v, 4pin video/12v pwr, x2 3pin Size0 12/24v, 3pin size1 12v Center Post in carbon fiber 1.5 with lemo connectors and pins for upper e lower boxes Gimbal XCS/3A Style Lower Junction Box with 8pin (pro, xcs monitors) x2 3pin 12v, 4pin video/12v pwr, x2 HD outpunts, x2 SD outputs ps. sorry for the puzzle pics.. sizes too big! Best, Steve.
  20. Obviously Eric have right! I Understand your point Eric and I'm agree with you, but All depends about your feeling with your gimbal. This is why, this gimbal have the same bearings on the handgrip but have this kind of Handle... for the EFP/3A Gimbal Lovers. Maybe I'm wrong but... I'm still loving the 3A Handle and I hope I'm not the only one! Also... Some of the Best shoots in the Past years was made with a 3A or a Pro1 Sled.... So..??? This Means that it's not the perfect equipment but the Guy into his Vest... That Guy make the difference... with his passion and fearless determination... Not an XCS or PRO or TIFFEN or MK-V Sled... Only the Operator maybe with his Old 3" Green Screen Monitor. Yeah! I'm one of us to have changed/upgraded his equipment to have a wonderfull and new Stuff (Pro Hybrid Sled, TB-6 Monitor, WK Harness, Lots of Original Cables and accessories) but when I see a beautifull shoot made by some of the best Italians Steadicam Op. that still shooting with a 3A or a Pro1 Sled.... I think "Wooow" and I say to me "Can all this my perfect, expencive and NEW stuff make the difference in the FRAME????" Maybe in the future to come will be the "Space Sleds" that will flying on air without any arms or vests... But The rules will remains the same of the past and today... Like I said before... All depends on the Guy! Just my 2 cents. However... Like we had discuss... This is an excelent Gimbal and cost around 2k less than a XCS Gimbal. Have the same bearings and almost the same design except for the 3A Handle. Best, Steve.
