Selling 2 dionic HC-90 batteries
RonBaldwin replied to RonBaldwin's topic in Steadicam Marketplace - For Sale
Ossie...I'll give you a great deal on a few of Alec's batteries and throw in a segway for any pain or voltage loss I have caused. And Jamie...I don't know what you are talking about! Though I did get this video link texted to me (you guys are smart to have a security camera on your truck) -

I am selling two Anton Bauer HC 90 batts (# 10469W07S & #25927Z03S) I stole them from an operator who was working at Greenwich Studios in North Miami 2 months ago. Both are in great shape (though they smell like motor oil...the previous owner must own a Ford). One has Silvera scratched into the post side. Please contact me privately here on the forum Ron

WTB. Nice Vest case for my Pro Vest
RonBaldwin replied to Osvaldo Silvera SOC's topic in Steadicam Marketplace - Wanted
I use a peli 1650 for shipping, but for day-playing or on a long term show all ya need is a duffel. I checked mine and it's the large. Take your vest to an REI and try it out and make sure you're happy. I use that same bag a lot for traveling -- I like that it can be worn like a back pack when I am dragging a ton of stuff (not equip) through an airport. -
I think the backpack is $50 without the steadicam logo

I used a North Face base camp duffel for my pro vest for years. Not sure when or why but I am now using my old 3A duffel...maybe because it has the little slot for padding on the bottom or I needed the North Face duffel for carrying ones to Jumbos. http://www.thenorthface.com/catalog/sc-gear/equipment-luggage_duffels/base-camp-duffel-large.html -
I sometimes ask all 37 people with monitors on set to stand on their heads to watch the shot while I just flip the rig :-) , but wouldn't it be nice to have that option after all these years with that camera? the new lenses sound really cool -- the execs will love them...and still ask us to keep everything in tv safe!

I assumed the folks in Munich would have gotten this done by now -- they must be too busy dodging criticism for the lousy eyepiece and extension. Here is a reply from one of the techs at Arri-CSC: "Although the vertical image flip For steadicam is on the drawing boards it's not yet available. Sorry my friend. Otherwise I hope you are doing well. I'll send your request along to Germany with hopes that it will be granted soon"

ki pro remote start/stop?
RonBaldwin replied to RonBaldwin's topic in Video Assist and Video Accessories
Thanks...was just curious about this as the perfect place for it would be behind the monitor (not the most convenient place to reach before/after a take) -
Does anyone know if the ki pro mini has this feature/ability? I know several here use them on their sleds Thanks Ron

Shoulder pads for handheld-any new contenders?
RonBaldwin replied to Mark Schlicher's topic in Off Topic
that and the supple leather massages my naked shoulder with the dexterity (get that? ...Dexter-ity :-) ) of a coke-head stripper with a trace of baby oil left on her hands. Glitter must be added separately. -

This is my go to pad, I have the CCC's which are great but this pad is awesome. As Ron Said just like the old Panapad I did end up buying one of these and love it. -
I keep forgetting to bring it up to Greg whenever we talk...but I had the cables made because of the very issues being discussed -- which seemed logical because all I needed was the video out of the pdl. Don't need the power with a batt on the back of my lcd. Strange termination issue on all three cables that Terry attempted...gonna chat with Greg about it and see if he'll make me one.
