  1. My Genio batteries used to charge up fine using the mains trickle chargers. I have noticed recently that both batteries fail to take any charge at all from them.

I have resorted to using the 'quick-charger' which works and gives them enough charge for the day.

Being that I have 2 trickle chargers and both have stopped working at approx the same time, I am more inclined to think that the problem is with the cells in the batteries.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Why do you thinks the trickle chargers don't work and the quick-charger does?

Can anyone shed some light on this problem?

    Andrew.

  2. I was watching some of my shots go out on Corrie the other day and noticed on some of the faster tracks, the image had a constant fine vibration throughout. Had to watch it back just to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

I can't help thinking that something is loose on the rig, anyone any ideas?

    Andrew.

  3. Jason,

This is how the mk-v hummingbird comes, it will fit in the Marell mount a treat! (Marell also make these spigots.) I see no reason why it won't be as solid as the original crt.

  4. Thanks, I found this picture of a Marell LCD on Sheffield University web site

Don't know if this is a mock up or a finished design? looks nice though.

I spoke to Marell last week, their lcd is still very much a prototype, I suspect it won't look much like the picture above. However I am going to pop over this week and see if I'm allowed to look at some specs, will let you know.

Incidently, I have just received my Master - lcd conversion bracket from Marell and it is a fine piece of engineering, it is a new design which isn't on their website yet. It is so well designed that it looks like a peice of the original kit, I'm sure they'll be very popular.

    Andrew.

  5. Nick,

I hear on the grapevine that Marell are bringing out a 16:9 lcd monitor in the not too distant future, they do some nicely engineered brackets for mounting too. Might be worth checking that one out before you decide?

 It is in development, so don't expect pictures yet!
