  1. Hi Gus,

I'll try to use the stock HVX batteries and a small battery for the monitor and report the results to you.

    >>I feel more comfortable the balence using the gimbal near to top stage, and using 2 batteries you have to go down with the gimbal.

I don't understand that. The batteries need to be on top of the gimbal because it's a low mode shot. Which brings another very interesting point for me to ask all:

How you manage the monitor position in a low mode shot? If u leave it high then you can't look where u going.. if u remount it low next to the cameras (IF u find space) how u compensate the weight on top?

    Best to all,

    Very nice Forum!

    Julian

    Hallo Julian,

Yes, at the HVX the "OIS" must be turnnd off.

And for your low mode problem only some examples: get one of your batteries to the other side of the post (if it is possible

with your rig) or get one of the batteries directly on the monitor or get some extraweigth on your monitor or.... but these are

the basics how setting up your rig and how it works ;)

After you did a workshop you will never have such a problem again.

    Greetings,

    Chris

da sein sollte werd ich mich mal vorher melden.

  3. Thanks, but i know christian betz(i have my own RIG-HD)and their WK-vest is too long in the back.

If nobody contacts me, i will test this (not perfekt fitting) one, but i thought in this big city would be

an operator with WK and nearly my size.

...and whats your size and how much Job?

    chris

  4. Hallo,

Does somebody use a Walter Klassen Vest in Berlin (Germany)?

Im have a new GPI-Pro vest, but i would like to test the WK-backmount  .

Im ca.1,75 m tall and my weight 64 kg.

  5. The EFP-training DVD is funny and nice,

also Jerrys book "steadicam operators handbook" is a good start. All basics(position,switch,...) with many pictures.

But i think a workshop/or some instruction-training with an operator, is the best way to start into steadicamworld.

    Greetings,

    chris

  6. question: how much higher does the betz tilt stage raise the top stage over it's stock position?

    rb

At my Betz-Rig it raise the stage ca. 3 cm over the stock position.

I think it would be the same hight at Pro or MK-v.

Hear some pics of my Rig with and without tilt stage:

    Hallo Rich,

I use the Betz-Tools tlit head on my rig-hd now for 1/2 year

it is real solid and fast to install i love it and use it almost all the time.

I, tested PRO and G-50/70 (even gc gold,master,...) some month ago and i think

it was the only real heavy solutuion i hab to make, wile buying me rig.

Finally i fell in love with the PRO-arm.
