Hi all,
perfect backup for BFD owners.
As any BFD owner knows, Bartech won't sell you a receiver only, you need to buy the handset that pars with it. Here is your chance to get the receiver only.
For sale is One BFD analog receiver, just upgraded at Bartech so it has the latest firmware.
Comes with one antenna and 2 power cables (#3005) (Receiver to PRO sled)
Was a backup unit so has seen very little use.
Has a Manfrotto male bracket screwed in the body that I use with my PRO sled. I leave it there, if you have a Manfrotto setup, it's ready to fly.
Pictures to follow later.
I am selling this BFD for my camera assistant, he is one of the most respected in our industry and takes great care of it's equipment. Never a rental, always privately owned.
Paypal ONLY will be accepted. Shipping is free in the USA.
Thanks
Fred

Hi,
RED Pro Primes (from 18 to 100) can't be mapped with the HU3. I have asked Preston to have a look at this problem, I have not received any update or news about this yet.
Thanks for starting this thread.

Hi Roger,
You might also try REDUSER.net in "equipment for hire" section. I found (and bought) a LMB-5 this week. Worth a look.
Cheers and good luck.

Not steadicam related but someone might have an interest. All of this stuff was owned by me and so very well taken cared of:
Thanks and good luck.

Hi,
Simple question but I have not tried it and doubt it works:
Can you link wirelessly two MDR's to one hand unit ? I would like to pull focus on two camera using the same lenses but the cameras are not side to side (where I would have used the SLAVE mode in the HU3 and use the same MDR).
Both cameras are on the same set but one is on a dolly (with the operator) and one on the milo robot(motion control) replicating the "human" operated camera.
I can do it with wires but would love to do it wirelessly.
Tried the search option but could not find any info. Anyone here tried it ?
Thanks for any info.

HI TANNER
Batteries would be my biggest concern.
I have had my sled modified (PRO_GPI) to be able to use two batteries in 12Volts to accommodate my RED camera. I can now use two Dionics 90 together or one 160 and one 90 for at least a good hour of operating and stand by. All of my accessories (preston, sender, cinetape) are on the third battery.
The modification was done by David Hable at CRAMPED ATTIC
If you have some specific items for cabling or power distribution on your sled, he can probably help.
Do you have your own rig or will you rent ? If you rent, please make sure the batteries are fresh out of the box or have a very low cycle count on them if you are using Anton Bauer products (I don't think it's possible to check the cycles on a red brick).
Good luck , please keep us updated with the results and challenges you faced on the shooting day.
Fly safe ,
Fred

You are at the best place to find a used rig on this forum .
Also try the classifieds at steadicam-ops.com and sometimes ebay but i would try here first .
There's always a few rigs appearing here but you have to check oftently because the "good" stuff always goes fast if the price is right .
Good luck and fly safe .
