  1. Unfortunately I will need to sell this OUTSTANDING head!

It was out of the box just for checking since I’ve bought it ,so there is no sense to keep such a resource in my storage unit.

    Technohead MK III ser# 1407 :

-3 speed both pan and tilt

    -built in dovetail plate

-built in tilt plate / tilts in both directions and locks secure

    -mitchell mount

    -shipping case

-2x reduction gears / very rear

    -3x viewfinder adapters

    -extension viewfinder support

    -front box holder

-the original technohead riser for use with 35 mm big mags

The head is checked and lubricated in ARRI facility before I bought it and never used since.

Runs absolutely smooth with no cut offs or drops in all 3 speeds.

    Make me an offer!

The head is located in EU

This was the only time I have ever worn a camera, and I happened

to work part time as a Ski Patrol Medic on the mountain that the show was

filming at so I was approached to ski the rig.

it was good times knowing that at over 25 Mph on an Icy run

and chasing 2 stunt skiers that falling definitely was NOT

    an option

Someone else was operating the camera remotely.

Gladly everything turned out well... this is one day that i did not want to fall :D

  4. I think thats a pretty good price for all 4, considering you have about 60% of a full arm there...

    Rick.

Well done. I'm curious to know how much it cost you to have them machined and finished.

    Rick.

    Here they are!!!:

Unfortunately they cost me too much (1100 eur without the bearings), but I did not have a choice.

The good part is,that now I have the file with the drawings,so if anyone need some....

    Rick,

    You might be right!

It was just too much in this moment for me.

I'm going to put all together now and see the result...

  6. Hi Nikolay

I would contact Hugo from steadiRig as he may have several 2nd hand bones which he may be able to sell you at a good price or he may even be able to supply you with 2 new bones .

    Good luck

    Louis Puli

    Louis,

As I've mentioned ,I already have 4 NEW bones (I'll post pictures after few minutes)

I just wanted to warn that this can happen to anyone.

    Thanks anyways!

    Nikolay

  7. Two months ago ,when cleaning on of my arms I’ve noticed that two of the bearings are in bad condition.

So ,I’ve ordered all the bearings (without the trust bearings) and new specially treated axels, so I can re-anodize and re-paint every part.

So far so good….But what I have found when de anodize the parts shocked me: Cracks all over the long sections of the arm ,especially where the axels and the bearings are.

I’ve ask a “specialist” ,who told me that those can be welded and will work fine. Hmmmmmm…….

Tried on one of the sections ,but I did not like how it looks.

So the dilemma was : to save this arm for spears, or to order a new sections .As I’m not really a rich guy and the arm with my back-up sled where already for sale ,I’ve decided to make new sections .

It took the machinist almost two months, but yesterday I had them and send them for anodizing.

Do any of you guys seen this before?

I know IIIa/Luna arms are old ,but this….
