    I'll defiantly (if) contact Kenyon directly for this.

    It is mostly about huge investment.Do you guys think that one gyro can do the job in windy conditions?

     

    Ron,I guess the issues as noise and weight are not that bad,at the end sound guys going to have own problem with the wind,as for the weight with heavy cameras it will make my rig shorter ;-).

    Ok now,

    I know some of you may say :"we had this discussion long time ago" ,but I need to know:Should I fight to buy gyro system or not?!?

    The times now are not good for work or business around,but even dough it happen (maybe 20% this year) WIND.Sometimes you can not say NO.

    I've never try gyros,but it happens to me too often to fight wit strong winds.No one ever told me that the shot look like crab because of me,even so ,when I don't like my work I'm feeling bad for a long time.

    So please guys give me some advice ,plus es and minus es.The moment came I should know should I fight for it or no(in this moment will be a fight)!?!

    Hi everyone!

    I don't own anything, but operate with rented steadicams. In my case I have never been lucky with monitors, always had a problem with daylight visibility. During the last job while taking the shot the crew members helped by moving behind that rig, so there could be seen at least pi.. of the picture. And that monitor was original part of that rig old only about couple of years, but completely unusable outdoors on bright sky! So it isn't always the case that the original rig monitor had to work properly with normal outdoor conditions. I think that is the most critical part of any steadicam. By the way is there any 7 or 8 inch lcd which can do it, please let me know just in case if I decide to compose my own rig..

    Seems to me, that you are renting wrong equipment....

    Since you are "close" to me we can speak for long term rental....

    Can you imagine, that the dream of the geny operator is to be a Cinematographer and he don't like the picture......

    Can you imagine crew members having own vision about how the picture suppose to look?

    Does anyone know the pinout diagram on the 5 pin Lemo 0B on a FMG 6 connector?

    Need to make 5 pin Lemo 0B to 5pin Lemo 1B cable .

    Assuming the MK-V motor is the same as the original FMG-6, it is a one to one cable (pin 1 to pin1, pin 2 to pin 2, etc.).

    I got caught in a massive rainstorm yesterday during strike and have now decided it's time to stop talking about buying a rain cover and actually buy one (Glad I brought a large garbage bag because of the skies!). My question is: What is the difference between a Camera Essentials and a Jerry Hill Arm Protection Cover? Does anyone have a preference for one or are they so similar it does not matter, or ... are there other rain covers out there I do not know about?

  22. The Great Daylight Monitor Shootout

    making a joke...don't get your panties in a twist -- we all knew what it was. It had the same menus as the Bolands but a better coating on the screen so an image could actually be seen!

    You got me wrong."Mystery monitor" sounds even good for me!

    In fact why "Boland"s menu why not "Tiffen"s,we are just using the same main board with the same firmware.

    Another fact is that the LCD panel in my monitor is ways more than a better coated,it's the top of the line right now.

    For those who wants same monitor can be made with the same LCD panel as "Blackbird/Lumavec"
