    Go see this movie. It was totally fucked up, but had some great scenes and terrific steadicam.

    It was a great film to work on.

    Greig Fraser is a fantastic DP and really is a master at capturing things in a beautifully poetic way.

     

    I did use my AR for most of the movie (Grieg loves it) but stripped the rig down to normal Steadicam mode for a few scenes such as the guys entering / the interior and exiting the card game holdup.

    V2 D-BOX and V2 Post cable for sale.

     

    D-Box is new and the post cable is custom made from an XCS type orange cable = much bigger current rating than original MK-V cable! (can handle any 12v camera current draw)

  10. MK-V Nexus V4 upgrade

    To the Nexus owners out there -has anyone upgraded to the V4 yet?

     

    If so, reviews, testing results?

    Hi Alan,

    Yes, I just upgraded my V2 to V4.

    Rock solid so far.

     

    Has 2x HDSDI's up the post + a composite video with distribution amp built in.

    Yesterday i ran a 12v camera, 2 x monitors, 1x SDI digital transmitter and 1x BOXX receiver (dont ask...! ) , 2x Dionic 90's, all no problems.

     

    The post cable connectors are now also proper HDSDI spec LEMO connectors with shielded connectors (which was the problem with previous versions I believe...)

    I also tested transmitting a Motorola radio next to it all over the electronics and no breakup.

    Selling my spare Nexus V2 post cable.

    This cable is custom made with an orange XCS cable which has at least 5 x 22AWG wires for each of the power conductors, solving the initial problem of voltage loss in the original cables.

    Work great with power hungry 12v cameras like the F23 / 35 / Genesis etc.

     

    Relaxed length 21" / Full length 51" (fine for full extension of post for Nexus.)

    Looks like he read the patent for the basic concept. Doing it in that manner (IF you can build the l bracket stiff enough) is far superior to the ring system that howard uses

    As for his rig from what we have been told is fine just a few bent thing .The only helmet on the MCG ground and Joe found it.

    This is a still of the rig Joe was using . This is a different operator

    Chris you are 100% right some kind of bumper /fender around the front would have stopped it from happening.

     

     

    I wish that old Channel 9 rig would die.

    I messaged Joe yesterday and he said it was still going even after the fall, damn it...
