  1. I was thinking it would be possible to make the centre post telescopic, using a tube with the same ID as the current tube OD. Wouldn't be quite as neat, but its the only way I can think of doing it.

Would also like to totally re-engineer the lower spar, but the J box up top looks pretty useful. How did you find chasing cables up and down the post?

    Pete.

  2. Well I think Silla loves me more than Mel loves you, as I get a lower minimum ;)

    Rick.

Just for reference, the min order is £50, and I usually deal with Mel who has her head screwed on. Phones back when she says she will etc.

Lower minimum dosn't bother me, I order bags and bags of those things.

I had a home visit from a Lemo rep the other day, do you get that!?!

    :P

...And I had a personal tour of the factory.

  3. Anybody? Beuhler?

I took the 2pin lemo out and changed it for a 3pin so I could use the RED power cable and other 3pin power accessories.

Might work on paralleling in the second battery plate, should be pretty easy.

I also would like to change the small knurled knob on the bottom of the stage to lock the fore/aft for a lift off style kipp lock, similar to the one on the LE. I still don't know what thread it is so have not got round to this yet.

I would also like to put a ratchety system on the vest...

  4. Hi,

Just been at the machine shop, Dave was just cutting out the clamps. Its a slow process, but they are cutting right now, as I type and will be done in a few hours.

Also Ed took this photo, because its pretty cool. Machining an F1 wheel hub from solid.

Also this is my 19-15mm dogleg adapter clamp, which is also for sale if anyone wants one. If you buy one, it comes with a nicer screw! Im sure Ed will fill you in on how tightly this clamps the rods, i'm pretty proud of it, especially since I designed it in the pub.

  5. So are you saying the camera dosn't have a normal composite output? I suspect I will probably be flying one of these at some point, so the HDMI only thing would be a bit of a problem. Are there any on board down converters that would work for the 5D rig?

    Pete.

  6. do you think that might have been the guy controlling the segway and not the focus puller? I'd be even more impressed (if that's possible) if the op was stopping on a dime and dismounting at that speed all by his lonesome!

You would think if all he was doing was the segway he probably wouldn't have followed him up onto the stage after the transition...

  7. Hi Ed,

How about you use the new battery to power the monitor and any other accessories you have down the bottom. This will take some load off the main battery.

Failing that, it wont be too hard to parallel them together.

Let me know when you want to come down. Tomorrow is a good day for me, or Wedneaday.

    Pete.

  8. Hi Matteo,

The new clamp design would be solid. The unlocked bar has some moving space to compensate for bent bars. The height of the channel is the same as the rod so it would not rotate. The other channel is very tightly fitted to the rod and the clamp will hold it still. Im confident the single rod clamping design would be more than enough and would allow for bent rods.....
