Need to rent a bartech wireless FF (w/either M-One or heden motor) AND a camwave HD wireless video transmitter-receiver for a 1-week shoot (the week of October 4, 2010): The producer has asked us to post a request here: he is hoping to save a few bucks by renting the items from a private owner/user rather than a rental house. I've got an actioncam rig (red edition), which I'm hoping to rent out to fellow steadicam operators, while I temporarily focus on non-steadicamming endeavors over the next few months (until early october 2010 or thereabouts). I am thinking of consigning the rig over to a rental house in LA for the time period in question, but thought I would gauge interest here first. If there proves to be no interest from the steadicam forum community between today and May 24, I will probably opt for the consignment route. The Actioncam is not quite in the same league as a Steadicam Clipper or Ultra, but it's a superb rig: it punches way above its weight! NOTE: If you're interested in a 5 month deal up front, we can talk about it. At this point, though, I am anticipating using the rig on a couple of projects slated to begin early october-ish. This is another way of saying that we might want to structure a 4 1/2 month agreement instead--depending on when you begin the rental.
