Hey all, first time poster but have been appreciating the community here for a few months. I am currently the caretaker of a friend's MK-V rig with an XCS gimbal, V4 D-Box & V4 J-Box. I'm trying to familiarize myself with the components and their capabilities as much as possible but MK-V is playing hard to get with emails and don't seem to offer the documentation anywhere online (unless I'm looking in the wrong place). Does anyone have PDF's for any of this documentation that they could email me personally or link to here? Please PM. Additionally, I'm looking for low-mode monitor bracket solutions for this rig. Looking to sell my backup sled from Smartsystem, their Matrix Sled Extreme - 3Stud (goldmount) version. New it's $10,499 + Import fees/Shipping. (Matrix Sled) This sled has only been used 3-4 times really. Only "issue" as seen in photo 4 is the plastic knob to secure the top plate in broke off. So I include a tool to tighten this screw down. It still holds fine and otherwise works great. Selling XCS gimbal. 1.5” sleeve. Excellent condition, just tested for level. Works on Pro rigs. Signed off on by Greg Bubb when I purchased, and I’ve babied it ever since. Buttery and performs beautifully. Just tested for level and came out perfect! Mainly used as a back-up and haven’t needed it for that purpose. Would love to see it used and not on my shelf. Hi all, I sell my backup/spare rig. It's a Smartsystem Matrix Extreme with lots of additional accessories. It's a 3G-sdi 12/24v sled with 3rd battery plate and which can power a Ronin 2 at the bottom of the sled with TB50/55. Volt upgradeable. Sled is bought new in 2019 and serviced/cleaned by Smartsystem last year. Very good condition with only minor scratches. The only "problem" is the docking bracket screw which no longer locks but this does not prevent the good use of the docking bracket. Come with a lot of cables for almost all camera setup, screws and custom hard case. Selling my Archer 1 SE sled, 7” TV Logic monitor & extras. The sled is in good condition, I’m the second owner. Gimbal works perfectly. Sled converted to V lock by Optical Support and has an HD-SDI line. SE model has a tilting top stage. TV Logic 7” LVM071W with mounting screws. Monitor is in well-used condition but still works fine. There’s a very thin line across the screen when on (never been an issue for me). Other extras included is a Tiffen low mode bracket and Zalex longplate with hardware. Included - Archer 1 SE sled - Docking bracket - Archer dovetail plate - Zalex longplate with hardware - TV Logic LVM071W 7” monitor (with mounting screws & washers). It has a very thin line across the screen when on. - 1 x camera power cable (lemo – 4 pin XLR) - 1 x short BNC - 1 x flyweight BNC - 5/32 T handle allen key - Tiffen low mode bracket - Transvideo Titan TX & RX + cables (never used it, came with it when I bought the kit. This sled is original Cinema Products EFP upgraded by MK-V. I sent the sled to Maurizio Aloi (Italy) to make a new upgrade, he made light, longer carbon 1.5” post with new super clamp, which works perfectly. He also made new inner cables and new orange gimbal clamp + gimbal rebalance. I did not use the sled since this upgrade, so it is like a new one. Top electronics offers 12V XLR output, 24V 3-pin output, 2x 12V Hirose output, HD-SDI and SD. Bottom electronics have 12V XLR output, 2x 12V hirose output, battery voltage meter, HD-SDI and SD. There is 19mm rod system with Marshall 7" monitor, and double V-mount MK-V plate. Also there is third battery option on the bottom of the sled, it is a smallrig plate. There is also original Steadicam docking bracket with tool holder on the side. I will add the raincover for bottom part of the sled. There are power cables for Arri 12/24V cameras, RED Cameras, XLR connectors, DTAP adapters and zoom control for Fujinon lenses, also the virtual horizont for Marshall monitor. 6 SDI cables in 100% condition. All the tools. 15mm rods for the top plate. 2x 19mm Rod arri pin adapters. Everything packed in Pelican 1650 hard roller case. Ask me for any information or more photos, if you need. Hi all! I'm looking for opinions on the Smart System Matrix Sled and the Arm X1. I tried it myself at BSC a few months ago. I was very impressed by the arm but not so sure on the sled. Have any more experienced operators than myself tried the sled, if so what did you think? The price tag is really tempting, it would certainly be an upgrade from my aero 30 rig. Any thoughts would be much appreciated, cheers!

Hi Guys! After working with some gimbals (Ronin 1 & 2, as well as the RS2) and other stabilisation systems such as ready rig, I recently got myself a Steadicam package, consisting of a Zephyr Vest, the A30 arm as well as the Steadicam Steadimate (for the Ronin’s). Although this works well, I nevertheless wanted to assemble some sort of the “poor man’s Trinity” and got a sled as well. Unfortunately, I decided to not go with the Aero Sled, because I was a bit shocked about its price when purchased solo (roundabout 3K USD here in my central European home) – compared to the very attractive package prices (my complete 3-part package was cheaper than the Aero sled alone). Anyways, so I bought a sled from another brand and quality-wise I am satisfied so far, but as a complete Steadicam-newbie, I am struggling – not a big surprise you might say - with a very basic challenge. As you might know, the A 30 arm has a ½ - do you call it pin? – which shall settle the sled, but my sled (differently to the Steadymate) has a 5/8 hole on its (arm)end, which I thought can`t be the biggest problem, but it is… I can`t find any adapter which has on its one end a ½ hole and on the other end a 5/8 pin anywhere in the net. Without it I am not even able to give the system a first try. For security reasons I checked with a “baby-pin” from a light stand and yes, exactly this pin size would be needed to hook up the sled. So now my question is: does anybody here can help me with a link to such an adapter please?

Hi gang, Following an Upgrade to an M2 I am now selling my trusty Tiffen Clipper 2 sled. I bought this sled when I first started out in 2014 and it has served me very well on my journey from local short film shoots to working on TV and feature productions. It is basically an Ultra 1 with an Archer tilting top stage and can support full size cameras such as Alexa and Arri LT 35mm. It has had an HD-SDI line added and also has a custom 12/24 volt power system added by Optical Support in London where it has been serviced so is ready to work with modern film and digital cinema cameras. Moving forward, if/when you feel the need you can directly replace the gimbal with a 1.58" M2 Volt gimbal by removing the top stage which I can show you how to do. The sled comes with dovetails and power cables (see below), low mode monitor mount, main monitor post clamp and Tiffen hardcase. It does not have a monitor, rods or yoke as I am using those with my new sled but I could be persuaded to part with my spare monitor and yoke which is compatible if you don't want to source one yourself. It also doesn't come with docking rings or bracket as I'm using these with my new sled too. Hello, So today I am selling my very dear-to-me PRO I sled, which has been modified (by Terry West, I believe) to be a very excellent and affordable sled for anyone who is looking to get into Steadicam and purchase their first "big rig" setup. Hello, I own a Steadicam Aero 15 (arm & vest) and I was interested in buying a Steadicam Aero sled: https://tiffen.com/products/steadicam-aero-sled-with-7-monitor. As per Tiffen specification, the Aero 15 arm is supposed to support up to 15 lbs total payload (including everything past the arm). Form this link (https://tiffen.com/pages/steadicam-aero) it says that the Aero sled weights 9.75 lbs (with monitor & battery mount, without battery). This means that the room left for camera and battery is 5.25 lbs. This does not match with the fact that the Aero 15 system can support up to 10 lbs camera payload. Is there in the forum any owner of the Aero system who can tell me how much the Aero sled actually weights? Is it actually 9.75 lbs or less? Many thanks, Simone
