  1. Thomas, The thing about Gyros is that it is just a from of inertial augmentation. They are not magic or end-all-be-all stability devices. The more gyros you have (and the bigger they are), the more stability you are adding to your sled (as well as more weight and power consumption). The threshold is different for everyone and every shot. I'd venture to say that the most common gyro set-up is two KS-6s (one vertical & one horizontal). That said, I like a combination of 1 to 3 KS-4s. Here are some old photos of mounting options:
