segway hardmounted to steadcam arm/ movi?
matthew pearce replied to matthew pearce's topic in General Discussion
this shoot is in LA but its a global project. very small crew and need to be able to fly with limited equipment. -
Not sure when to post this but..... Im looking to see if anyone has used a MOVI or Ronin on a hands free segway with a steadicam arm/ hard mount? I'm doing a project that requires 50 minute takes on the segway and the hard mount/arm steadicam with antlers is not getting it done due to wind/ bumps and uneven terrain. thanks Matthew 310 721 6347

I was originally going to air freight two dionic 160' s freight company giving a quote freaked out about them and started asking for saftey sheets etc on them. Different class and section of the FAA guidlines. they wanted them shipped thru a hazardous shipping company...... I just pulled them out of package and went with Hcx's so that I could hand carry. I can't explain it but the AB website does a good job of listing all the options.
-
The AB website says the dionic 160/ HD is not allowed to be checked or carried as hand luggage. I'm prepping to fly to new zealand for two weeks and I'm hand carrying two HCx's based on the info I got of AB website. They also recomend that you ship the HCD's in their own seperate box FWIW.

great batt if you want the weight to balance the monitor or to shorten post. be aware of shipping restrictions, lots of FAA worrying lithium

sled/ arm/ monitor case?
matthew pearce replied to matthew pearce's topic in Cases/Carts/Stands and Transport
looks like both my kids could fit in. What are you planning on putting in there? I have a bunch of 1650's but I'm hoping to consolodate down to one travel case. Pro2 sled, pro arm Flat screen monitor plus yoke that removes easily. I dont want to be breaking the sled down any more than that. This case would not need to hold any preston or wireless stuff, no batts either.
