  1. These are good points. I have an email out to Darla in Atlanta to find out the same. My time cards also include a UNION line to record our Local.
  2. have you checked this yet? http://usedproequipment.com/equipment-photos.html http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=22921&hl=gyro
  3. Thanks Janice, thanks Torch. Your comments corroborate my understanding and practices thus far as well. ill continue to timecard my labor, get the hours, and stay on payroll. my gear will go through my LLC and be invoiced to the production (W9). Using a loan-out would require a whole nother round of paperwork in order to achieve the same end. i dont quite understand the loan out system... it seems to be that if the payroll is going to pay for gear through a loan out, then the loan out has to fill out all the same paper work as an operator. is this because the gear is seen as a "working entity" of sorts? the PM gave me the option of just sending her a quote with all my gear at the agreed-upon rate and then invoicing the production at the end of each week. seems fine to me, i can dig it. i just dont understand the technical differences. brett.
  4. hey yall i have been getting my ducks more in a row and have an LLC and all required insurance etc. on music videos, commercials, etc, its easy enough to bill through my LLC. however, when filling out a time card for a union show (paid through indiepay) should i continue to go in as myself or as my LLC? and then should i direct deposit into my business or personal account? ideally i would bill both equipment (see below) and labor as my LLC, and put both checks into my business account so that all of my income can start going to one place and taxes will be more of a breeze. however i am unsure if i will be credited my union hours if i bill labor as my LLC. thoughts? also, for my gear i can either do loan out as LLC or invoice for the gear (also as LLC). is there a benefit for one over the other? thanks for your help brett.
  5. Hey Clemens, I know Sebastian well, was just trying to get one locally because it was such a last-minute deal I knew that Bill McClelland has an LCS and I just found out that another operator (Marcis?) has a full CVolution kit. thanks for your input! brett.
  6. groovy. it would just be consistent with the receivers I've used and how I've seen ACs mount then (with the existing and included teradek long thumb screws)
  7. Hi yall I'm helping a buddy hunt down a second Cmotion system for some clients for a seven day rental next week. shoot is in Atlanta, the client can pay for shipping and can insure the unit. only one motor system is required. let me know if you'd be willing to rent yours for this production 404.408.5951 12@brettmayfield.com brett.
  8. only thing I'd want from this is a mounting through-hole like the other models. Velcro melts off every receiver. hard mounting options, at least one, is necessary when dealing with small hardware like a monitor
  9. hey joshua have you noticed any lag in these monitors? i have the dp7 pro oled and there is about a 4 frame lag, just wondering if these are zero lag. have a good one! brett.
  10. Hi yall $7400 I have a Canon C300 with extras here. The camera was used for interviews on a documentary and some b-roll, 672 hours. It has been lightly used and well-cared for, never dropped. I have thoroughly enjoyed this camera. Terrific image, lightweight, robust, great for documentary and travel as well as TV and cinema. Feel free to ask any questions. I would consider breaking the package up. I am in Atlanta if youd like to check it out or pick up locally. Shipping cost will vary by location. more photos upon request call or email me 12@brettmayfield.com 404.408.5951 Included in the package is: -C300 camera (EF mount) -Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM lens (the newer sharpers zoom lens) -Canon EF 100mm macro IS USM (the newer sharper macro lens with image stabilization) -body and lens caps for all -C300 monitor -C300 side grip -C300 top handle with multiple cold-shoe mounts for monitors or other cold/hot-shoe accessories -battery with charger -AC adapter -Kata PL220 Bumblebee backpack (fits everything plus a laptop and a little more, awesome bag, fits in overhead easily) -I have 2x64GB Lexar 1000x CF cards available for additional purchase, just ask. have a good one yall! lots more pictures upon request
  11. i used to have walkie interference when using spaghetti cables for teradek etc. so i dont touch em anymore. have you recently fully extended your sled? i started having problems with one of my 2 HD lines on my cinelive after flying a studio Alexa with some Hytron140s fully extended. my sleds never been the same since. neither have my orifices.
  12. I am ordering them now. I am having them overnighted by Adorama and it is $33 via UPS (im in Atlanta, they are in New York). Overnight from Teradek (UPS, California) is over $100 Also, the battery plates qualify for free expedited shipping from Adorama (about 3 days). still get the warranty and price is the same. just fyi brett.
  13. I'm glad there is pass through! I specifically asked the sales rep at teradek and he said no, so I didn't purchase. damn. I believe there is another version made by switronix as well. well, I think I'll be picking up some cages then.
  14. I called teradek about this... no pass through. in fact, they are just players mounted to a cage as far as I'm aware. in order to power the tx/rx you still have to use a Ptap cable
  15. hey yall is anyone using the dual battery cages from teradek on their bolt 2000 tx or rx? just wondering if youve found any advantage to using them. seems like every picture i see does not have these, but are there any owners who have purchased them and seen them play? any issues with transmission? brett. http://teradek.com/collections/bolt#accessories#Battery_Plates
  16. did you look through the market place yet? http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=22943

  18. I traded in an old Marshall 7" HDMI only and received the new Bon monitor yesterday. I set it up on an Alexa and compared it side by side with a TVLogic. This Bon is really great and better to use that the TVLogic. There are 3 Fn buttons on top, user/menu button and scrolling wheel, all on top, not behind the monitor. Auto-flip and really rad focus assist functions. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a new monitor for their kit. ACs should really like this. Monitor, hard protective screen shield, 2x 3' ptap, custom case, hood, rain cover, AC adapter, and dual LP-E6 plate for about $1150. Monitor without all the goodies is about $900 with the trade-in. There was a free hat too, for those that can fit all their hair under a hat. this link shows the focus assist functions
  19. jerry is the best resource for this. i found this centering flyer for the U2 on the forum some time ago. it is attached.U2_GimbalCentering.pdf
