  1. 3000$ US Final price. I will keep it if it does not sell a that ridiculous price. And at that price, I won't split the shipping charges anymore. Shipping is the buyers responsibility (fedex or UPS prefered on your account)
  2. I just got the Blackmagic Video assist. Nice little device. simple to use and light enough. Saves the shots on SD cards. Add some power cables or canon batteries and you are ready to go.
  3. If you have the money, get the Water Klassen . It's a workhorse, adjustable and will last your whole career. Service is also fantastic. Simple and EXTREMELY well made. It's sold in Europe thru Betz tools. Fly safe. Frederic

  5. Hi all, For sale because I already have another: •Matthews 72" slider with 2 sleds and case. It is in very good condition. The second sled is BRAND NEW and was never used. It just came back from XMEN second unit and the grips gave it a lot of love. I bought it when Matthews was just starting to build them (that's why it's not branded) and I think I have the very first 72" out of the shop. Since I was an early adopter ; they gave me a LOT of screws , plates and adapters. So much that a lot have never been used. Lots of spare screws also. Cosmetics is 7/10. the transport case is HUGE and has 2 holes (2" wide) from mishandling (not shown) . Nothing to worry about and I will try to patch them before shipping. The sled is smooth as butter . The only thing needed for maintenance is a box of WetOnes ; you clean the white rollers once in a while and that's it. No oil. It probably is the most silent slider on the market. What you see in the pictures is what you will get. No less, no more. Shipping charges will be ludicrous so I will split them with the buyer. Sale open to Canada and USA locations only. Credit cards or wire transfer for USA buyers. Credit card or Interac transfer or wire transfer for Canadian buyers. 5000$US or 6600$CAN . https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/fr-fr/#B035qXGF1HnXga
  6. Hi all, Long story short: This is my very first WK vest I bought in 2005/6 that got stolen in 2007. It was just retrieved this summer from a dusty pawnshop : 8 years on the shelves of a local pawnshop. With my name and serial still attached. At the time it got stolen, I had Walter and Jennifer build me another vest in a rush and used that second vest for about 6 years. I sold my backmount vest in 2013 and got back to my front vest. Now this vest comes back to me. And I have no use for it anymore. It's in very good condition (just shy of excellent) . The carbon arm is worth 2000$ alone at WK today. Will fit 32/35". Sadly I have no accessories with the vest , not even a bag. You can get all the little bits and bag from Walter's shop. Priced to sell fast . Since I am not very far from Walter's shop, I will send it there before to make sure all is ok and 100% (air bladder, foams, carbon arm....) . You could then buy the missing pieces and have it shipped from his place. I will cover the fees for any problem the vest might have and will pay for shipping to WK shop. 2000$US paypal or interac or wire. Thanks Frederic https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/fr-fr/#B03G4TcsmGyx5nB

  10. I sold my smallhd , cinetronic v1 & 2 and bought a Super Bright Rainbow HD : best move . Solid , bright , simple and works . And service is stellar .
  11. Hi all, Looking to see if someone has a PRO sled I could rent this weekend in NYC. May 3rd and maybe 4th (cover day) I need the sled , cables for alexa , batteries and docking bracket. I will bring my vest and arm with me. We will rent the camera and FIZ in New York. Send me an email at : frederic.ca(at)me.com Thanks !
  12. Hi Here ´s a mod from my machinist to center the battery plate from transvideo to fit the RainbowHd : He "spaced" the AB plate from the aluminum back with 3 small risers ,then moved the whole Ab plate to be centered with the monitor rods (see pic) the risers are there to clear the bnc connector for SDI IN . I am using a cinecoil bnc cable with 90' angle and it fits right under the plate . Only downside is I have to take the plate off to unplug the bnc cable . I just leave it there . Xlr power in just clears even with a straight connector . Now my monitor is much more balanced . Not a game changer but much nicer overall .
  13. If you have one laying around. I need one for a job this summer. Thanks. frederic (at) me.com
  14. Hi Bud, Sorry, the bracket sold in a record time. Thanks for the interest. Frederic
  15. SOLD thanks ! Sold my DP7/PRO HB to a camera assistant and wish to sell the monitor bracket. Going Transvideo from now on. It took me some time to understand that. Since I got rid of my green screen, I bought (and sold back) 5 monitors.... It's a Cinetronic bracket but highly modified (only thing left from the original bracket is the PRO spud assembly and both side arms. I had my machinist build a longer transversal bar to adapt the SmallHD . He also added 2 aluminum knobs (replacing the cheap plastic ones) , one is wider than the other because they both have a different task : the smaller one locks the monitor into place, while the other one allows you to have a "smooth lock" (meaning the monitor will be locked but you still can tilt it applying force to it, the knobs won't come loose, some rigidity will always be there. And finally, he added some locking pins on both screws holding the arms with the transversal bar, that was also a design problem where the screws would come loose and the arms would tilt . (see close up pictures) So there it is, an upgraded monitor bracket with PRO spud (will fit Artemis) that is unique and rock solid. It will fit a smallHD PRO monitor (oled and LCD) . *****please note this bracket will be available in march (probably between 10th and 20th) . I have yet to receive the new bracket and monitor from Transvideo. I will ask a deposit from the buyer (refundable if needed) and will let you know when it's ready to go.***** 350$US and I will send it anywhere in the world. 300$US if you give me your FEDEX account. http://1drv.ms/1vTVqkA
  16. Hi, I just finished operating 2 days on a frozen lake . Winds of 30/35 miles . Temperature below -20 celcius . Some of the coldest days we have had here in Quebec this winter. This was by far the coldest day operating ever for me and I have been working in the film business for 24 years . Great opportunity to see what fails and what doesn't : here is my list : progpi sled/arm : not a glitch preston Hu3/mdr2/dm2 : couple of hicups from motors , warm them up 5 minutes with radiant heater and they go back to work . arri alexa Xt with codex cards : not a glitch paralinx arrowX with array antenna : not a glitch smallHD HBDP7 PRO: both menu buttons (top corner) stopped clicking after 10 minutes outside. That was a problem . Could not access menu . Tried flipping the image going low mode and finally flipped it in camera . Hot keys (rubber buttons on the sides) still worked . Image was lagging a bit but so was the 1ac's transvideo . anton bauer batteries : left in the cold more than 30minutes; they became useless. We had like 16 dionic hd for the camera . At one point , I had to plug in a VCLX block . hawk vlites lenses : heated lenses cases were life saviors : essential for such days. We also used a custom made heated donut that was velcroed around the barrel of the lenses on the sled (powered by the batteries at the bottom of the sled , that's the cable you see on the picture hanging in front of the sled ) cinetape , horns stopped working , heat them up and back to life . cables : only preston and cinecoil seem to have found the receipe for sub zero cables : every other cable could have snapped in a heartbeat if handled to furiously . That's it for that particular job . Now time for another hot coco . Fly safe and heated Frederic
