  1. Cool thanks for sharing.... But i am kinda concern that the boxx signal will be jammed up if its not studio operation as it is operating in such low frequency... Don't think its suitable for outdoor broadcast , from where i am from they will jam all the rf signals for security reasons....
  2. Perhaps a 2nd monitor helps return feed to the 2nd mon is just as useful as the tally.... Am doing it currently... Provided the engineer could do a return feed on to your camera.... Am doing that without a tally currently....
  3. Agree..... Links system and gigawave are fool proof , we use it alot... Especially gigawave for outside broadcast and its damn important to have a full wireless system especially the control of CCU and tally light as well.... I only use the cw5 as a return monitor feed.... Which is miserable at times.... Due to no line of sight....
  4. Hi Marc..... Been scrutinising every inch of contacts and nothing was wrong with it.... Hmmm perhaps the power cables went kaputtt... Thanks for the advice , i am located in singapore... Maybe i'll just get canon to change the cable for me....

    HELP

i apologize for using the term senior am not sure what should i call you guys, in part of my world we address the experienced 1's as seniors as a mark of respect while noobies are known as juniors... i am trying to be polite not being disrespectful to the experienced ops here, please accept my humble apologies on not using the proper english or caused any distress to other forumers upon reading this thread... :( Guys... could we PLEASE watch our language on this forum... I am in complete awe at the derogatory terms being loosely thrown around these days. Between this thread and another, I am completely offended!

    HELP

Hei lawrence thanks for noticing but you are a senior am sure you fly more than 3 years... apologies for that. yup i tighten the cap and even pasted gaffer tape to tape the cap am flying a steadicam archer have a back up sled the trusty sk2 by cp it nvr gave me problems bfore even after major remodelling. I know you addressed this to Seniors but I thought I would answer it anyway. Don't know what kind of rig you have. Sounds to me like you did not tighten the allen cap screw enough which holds down your camera Steadicam dovetail plate to the top stage and it's slipping when you put it on your shoulder? Or possibly you mounted that plate to the camera backwards?

    HELP

Hello seniors... need input was flying my 2 yr old rig... was doing live soccer match ... i balanced the camera on dock as usual (3 second drop) static balance and put it up my arm fine tune adjustment on head room etc did dynamic balance it spins nicely without any swaying... after a while waiting i put the sled on my shoulder(rest position) than when i was up felt the sled went off balance so i docked again and re adjusted put on my body and went flying again and to my horror after resting the whole sled went way off balance this time... i strip all my cables (tele light , j-7 ) leaving only the video out and it still went off balance again and the production team was screaming their heads off me and i operated wif off balanced sled (regretted doing that forces me to be on medical leave with a painful lower back)isit the top stage of my sled or isit smting else or isit me??? thanks for the input... btw i am a trained and certified op its just i only fly for past the 3 years
  12. Hi james thanks for the input. Am using an sk sled nt pretty sure what kinda gimbal it is . Was already on the sled when it was purchased. The flower of the screw is nearly gone and its a hassle to do balancing. I'll try posting pictures of it as soon as i could.
  13. anyone??? modified their gimbal from using screw to tooless???
  14. Hi guys... could you guys kindly link me up for a tooless screw for my gimbal. Its worn out due to the number of years its in service... for a provid sled , Thanks in advance

  16. Hi members ! i need input on how to modify a provid sled... one of the members did a mod on his provid and i saw it... kinda genius on how he did the wiring to hdsdi... could any member advise me on how to rewire from video to hdsdi ? ;) .the other thing is our crt went kaput long ago so the agent in my country replaced it with a lcd monitor i had a torrid time balancing the whole sled due to the weight of the lcd. and the funny part it has a 5 pin connection to it. i wish to strip it apart and redo the wiring for it and fix a new monitor bracket... saw a unit from movcam and looks ok any recommendation? and by doing this does this affect the CG of the sled? thanks guru's your inputs will be useful... :)
  17. kinda too late to realise it....

  20. Looking for EFP vest willing to buy at max 1200 usd depending on conditions....
  21. Have a good condition provid vest , the straps are broken. Shall i change all 4 or just 1 piece??? anyway was thinking of changing the socket block to fit my g-50 arm as the provid arm is in a bad condition. Is it advisable to do so??? can i buy the straps?? dun't seem to find a suitable 1 on my part of the world. And can i buy a 2nd hand socket block coz i have literally 0 budget to recon the vest and i'm funding it by myself... PLS ADVICE... Thanks
  22. Hi james it is 4 screws only and a locking collar , i was shocked at 1st i thought it wasn't serious but it was! as times go by the base gets looser and looser... i tighten the screws up bt it finally gave way and i bought 4 new screws to hold it up again.... balancing it i fixed two eagle clamps in order to balance with RF cameras it's ugly but it works...
  23. beautiful oscar it is beautifully modified.....

    Archer 1

Hi seniors my company had purchased an archer for a year , i'm having loadsa problems with it , firstly the base of the sled which holds the monitor gave way during a live recording to my horror there's only 4 little screw holding the whole base . G-50 arm is a good arm i admit comparing to the provid we use to have, but the gimbal holder on the arm was also held up by a small screw again and its detachable i don't remember the provid arm having that problem at all,was thinking is this factory default???
