  1. Hi fabricio.... I did a little modification on my own on an sk2... I took out the whole monitor arm which is quite easy to take out and got myself a monitor bracket 1.5 from another member and totally rewire making 1 it sdi compatible and xlr female right angle for powering the monitor.....

  2. Yes we do use the pdw700 and pdw800.... Sometimes its quite flexible to have a recorder as a rf camera.... events where you need to record something urgently and running on efp mode where the technical team is barely bare bones and rf signal isn't strong..... So it helps as a backup recorder.... Hated the hdr1500 as the camera as the its not built to hold up rf and balancing it is a nightmare..... :)

  3. Using the pdw 700 with the cobham wireless tx unit ..... Quite a solid combi... Been flying it with a v-mount battery on camera as it is quite power hungry and the hytron couldn't keep up with its demand if i were to power from my sled.... Using an Archer1 sled with hytron 140 battery as anything lighter than 140 equates me to fly my post almost fully extended...... Using tally sensors made by tiffen for the sled... And my trusted j7 zoom with j7 focus unit as well...... No returns the whole studio are peppered with monitors....

  4. As a live operator i truly appreciate this rig design and powering options.... Sometimes a set requires the lower sled to be small due to space and lighting restrictions and i love the design due to the fact it has a flat base which to me is important so that you could put it on a stacker box for commercial breaks without docking the rig.... And there is p-tap option which can power up a second monitor knowing that you won't blow up the circuit of that cheap 2ndmonitor.... Its painful to blow a return monitor due to over voltage.... Does PRO accept a kidney???

  5. Am a volunteer soccer coach at a high school.... And supports a few kids who aren't well off and i believe giving back to society is a good thing.... It de-stresses me and its a joy to watch kids eyes light up everytime u give away a soccer cleat to not well off students.... And what goes around comes around and karma always right.... :)

  6. Hong kong un missable shopping paradise in shenzen... Its a boat ride from mainland hongkong all the electronic gadgetry... And enjoy the light pollution its really bright at night... And citygate outlet shopping centre , hongkong is a shopping paradise.... ;)

  7. Have a few pairs of solomons depending on jobs.... For long hours e.g live programs or ob setups i will only wear my skechers and salomon due to long hours of rehearsals and standing being comfortable is the way to go.... And for ENG setups i'll go light e.g new balance 500 series and nike lunar as i would be running most of the time but have not tried the 5 fingers of vibram yet... But to date this salomon really helps for long operating http://www.salomon.com/sg/product/xr-crossmax-neutral.html :)

  8. A quick email to Scott at BOXX will answer any questions you have. make sure you tell him what venue as he may already know any security measures in place there to provide you with the right frequency system. if it's the olympics, I bet BOXX and Visilink are already the main providers of the wireless HD systems. they're both from the UK I believe.

Thank you mr silvera.... I am not from the UK... And i only have this big army jammers parking near to my ob point and jamming any frequencies around eventhough we did register the signal to them.... We never ever had a great signal during liveshow.... Signal was always tearing even though you have 4 antennaes pointing towards you.... Ironically the army had their own crew and was even using the same module and same contractors and their pictures are perfect.... Damn them......

  9. Cool thanks for sharing.... But i am kinda concern that the boxx signal will be jammed up if its not studio operation as it is operating in such low frequency... Don't think its suitable for outdoor broadcast , from where i am from they will jam all the rf signals for security reasons....

BOXX may have a tally system that would work, it's a wireless signal from the studio mounted antennae to your sled. Email Scott Walker at Boxx.

    His email is

I found this video he did on youtube, maybe this would work, but definitely email him.
