  1. Hi all

I realise this may sound too simple but I'm in need of a 10" x 5/8" anodized post for a J-bracket I'm assembling, I already have the dog bone and the 4" post. The machinist here in Australia would have to charge $55 for the anodizing alone on top of his cost for doing a one-off for me. If anyone has a spare they are willing to sell and post to me, I would be very grateful. I can pay via Paypal and I'm in no big rush for it so when it's convenient to post to me is fine.

    Thanks for looking and all.

    Cheers

    Norbert

  2. I've just bought a sled that has 12-24v capability so don't need this power up-converter anymore. I'd bought it used some time ago

but haven't even used it myself, it looks so clean I'm sure it hasn't seen much service. It's about $800USD new and I'm looking for

$350AUD + insured registered postage to where ever you are.

Transvideo Monitor Mounting Rod System for Master Series

    The ultimate monitor support.

This was on my Master Broadcast and held either a Transvideo Cinemonitor IIIa or a Boland 8'4 HD, both with Transvideo mount slider attached. Original cost was about $1100AUD a few years ago so looking for $500USD + shipping now.

NOTE: The only real change I can see is that the new version's monitor mount swivel plate is flat so you don't need to spend extra money for a slider. It's easy enough to have the channel walls machined off this one if you want.

  5. The chest plate on my Ultra 2 vest, namely the metal section that slides to adjust the length of the vest, squeaks and creaks when it's under load. If I clean it with a light soap and water, the creaking stops, but is back after a few days. Should I get some type of lubricant to stop the creaking for longer durations?

    Hi Michael,

Give me a call so we can discuss this if you have a moment.

    Hi Peter

Just wondering why you just can't answer the question on the forum for all to benefit by instead of asking for a phone call ..... is it a secret that would compromise national security?:D

    Inquiring minds want to know.

    Thanks

    Norbert

  6. I own one. The internal battery is good for about 2 hours. No need for a cradle, just velcro the unit to rig, it's 100% Solid State so it needs no special handling

    Hi Eric

Do you use this for recording client material from the camera or is it only for your use. I'm just a bit concerned that there is no LCD screen for any sort of confidence viewing either during or after recording. I'd be happy to get your opinion on this before I spend the money.

    Thanx

    Norbert

  7. Hi Shawn

I have heard rumours that Birger Engineering is developing an EOS adaptor for the NEX-FS100 after the one for the Panasonic AF-100. This would allow you to use both Canon EF and EF-S lenses with lens iris control through the camera but at the moment it's a waiting game till it's available, especially good for me as I have a set of L series f2.8 lenses going to waste.

Hoping that it won't be too long now and that the price will be approx the same as the Panasonic version which I think is about $800.

Best of luck in the meantime.

    Norbert

  8. Hi

I have a Transvideo Cinemonitor IIIA SB for sale with Transvideo hood. It is in pretty good nick as the pics show.

Please PM if interested or if you have any questions just ask.

Looking for $1200AUD or best offer in the next while, as I'm trying to fund a Sony NEX-FS100 purchase.

I will accept international wire transfer or Paypal as long as any fees are yours to pay, you can arrange your own shipping or I can send it via registered insured post.

    Cheers

    Norbert

  9. It was both John P and Dave Eastwood

Dave uses a lightweight double headset out if the back of the camera and I think John uses a modified double from Bose. Maybe he'll chime in

    Hi Guys

Just my two cents, but Dick Clark aviation headsets have great ambient noise attenuation and are worth a look. They really don't take a lot of tech know how to convert for comms use.

  11. Hi Afton

I love my Master Series Broadcast and the only thing I have issues with is the FLG. It has a wonky PCB and in order to give me a full range of adjustments, I've had to wedge a small block of perspex between an IC mount and another component which then bends the board just the right amount to work. I've had a Marell FLG board sitting on the shelf and would love to rework the innards to make a neat package like yours, any chance of getting some info/diaghrams on what you did?

    Cheers
