Hi guys, Hi Eric...I asked the Pelishop.com in Germany and they said what you wrote above that I didn't know about. I thought Pelican was an extream case manifacturer, not a military one... And what is so military about a hard case anyway (thinking to myself..)?...I felt quite offended with that form...I am going to give them 650€ and they want to interrogate me? I find all this military suspiciousness so rediculus on this planet... Anyway,I'm getting it from Germany without any stupid forms... Thank you all, - Haris -

Hallo everyone, Topic says it all...I ordered a Peicase 1730 to put and carry my new sled and arm inside. Some days after the order and advance payment the store send me this form to complete, directly from the manifacturer saying that I ordered military stuff... Is this normal or is it some kind of scam? Anybody face this proccedure before?? Thank you, - Haris -

Weight plate/block with screw holes.
Haris Pallas replied to Haris Pallas's topic in General Discussion
Thanks guyz... I appreciate your fast responce! I already have a high/low mode cage and I like it much. Janice's weight plates look excellent - thumbs up Janice! - but the weight and price of the items to ship and tax from USA to Greece makes it almost twice the price. I used to have a steel block cut by my mechanist but it's too large in profile for only 2kg of weight and there is no place to anodize it here in Thessaloniki!! I actually found the one opticalsupport.co.uk have and also the one by Varizoom which is black, quite thin and 4.5kg - very convenient for DSLR's... P.S: Rob,no problem of course!..I was about to mention that!!...Haha! Thank you all again, - Haris - -
Hallo fellow-operators, Do you happen to know any company in Europe that makes a weight plate or thin block with screw holes to go under the cameras for balance reasons only? There was a great one from www.opticalsupport.co.uk that weighted 2,2Kg and had 15mm rods but they don't have it in their new site... Any help would be appreciated because without one I cant use my new arm... Thank you, - Haris -

Hallo everybody, I just got a MK-V Lite HD sled and I'm trying to figure out what kind of Lemo type connector I have in my sled. There are 2 kinds: 4pin 0B & 3pin 1B -- but I don't know the full type so as to search it correctly and buy the correct ones. Anybody know the full code of these?...And maybe where can I buy them in Europe for normal prices? Thanks a lot in advance! - Haris -

if all of your batts let you down... don't panic
Haris Pallas replied to Matteo Quagliano's topic in Batteries/Power
Conception is everything...especialy in what we do! That's a very nice story Matteo...and I admire the thing about mistakes and image that you said...after all NOONE is perfect! And the ones that learn from their mistakes are the best out there... Thank you for sharing! - Haris - -
Hi Ken...don't you think you are being just too arrogant??? There is no "steadYcam" work...and the big problem is that there is NO steadicam work in this video!!!...You could say that this was handheld,dolly,crane...the uniqueness of steadicam is duration of shots, not 2-3" cuts with strobe/tremble filters flying around...so get a grip and land on the ground man! You can't be aggresive to get compliments, you humbly wait for them...if they ever come!! And show some respect to the companies and operators who have been around and worked hard to earn their reputation and quality...

Need weight solution for Pro Vid 2/Canon 7D
Haris Pallas replied to Terry Lasater's topic in General Discussion
Hi Terry, I am working with an SK2 so I had my mechanist cut and drill a stainless steel block that weight 2.2 Kg. It's not very glamorous but does the job and costs about 60€. The Optical Support dead weight with rods looks really nice and it's much thiner! - Haris - Here's a photo: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150292910842162&set=a.10150292910592162.357645.616537161&type=1&theater -
Decimator function
Haris Pallas replied to Haris Pallas's topic in Video Assist and Video Accessories
Thank you Charls and Pedro, Much clearer now...! - Haris - -
Hallo everyone, I know that this may sound silly but I would like to know...what exactly the Decimator does that makes it so unique? I'm reading it a lot on the Forum but from their site I didn't get a clear conclusion.I know that it is a downconverter/upconverter but I'm quite confused...! For example: I own a Steadicam SK2 with the basic single action arm and a bigger double action arm that was modified to fit the SK2 vest and with this configuration I can use from DSLR up to RED and some film cameras. As you might know my top stage has only a BNC video in and a 12V power out plugs. In what way a Decimator can help me improve my signal/picture or the one that I'm sending to the directors monitor?? Thank you in advance! - Haris -

Hi Rupert, Have a good start and listen to what Eric says...the battery on you!..It will be heavy and akward but you have to get used to it. Let your assistant to guide you and maybe carry only the cables if any.. And have a good time! - Haris -
