  1. Any one currently flying the Odyssey Q7 monitor and have some recommendations for a yoke? Having trouble fining a nice 8"yoke that will work. Thanks
  2. Found this link today, its a cool gopro behind the scenes of the end steadicam shot in Scorcese's Hugo. Larry did a fantastic Job on this shot!
  3. Hey Im looking to pick up two v mount to Gold mount adapter plates, so I can run Anton B HC's off my sled. Send me a pm! Thanks, Camrin
  4. Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated
  5. This is geared towards Jim Bartell, but I wanted to post this instead of email to see if any other operators are having this issue with there BFD system. I primarily shoot in downtown Chicago where there are an over abundance of different frequencies, antennas, and goofy looking dishes. On occasion my heden motor begins to vibrate and then twitches. At times the twitching becomes quite frantic. Then the hand unit loses its signal and becomes useless for the shot. Sometimes it is just the hand unit that loses signal and I get the flashing red light on the BFD. Often times the problem can be fixed by turning off a few Iphones (not all just a few troublemakers) or by resetting/recalibrating the system. I find that producers get annoyed for the time wasted on resetting and recalibrating and also not being able to talk on their phone. On these occasions I often look to the sounds guys for direction. Though quiet and concealed in there little corner if they become frantic or fidgety I know something is up. Most their gear runs wirelessly and if my gear is having issues occasionally theirs is too. I have a little solitude knowing I am not the only one struggling. Is there something I could do to strengthen the signal, or to get a better connection? Or is this issue even derived from frequency interference? Could it be generated from the BFD to motor connection? Maybe the communication between the two is disturbed. Any input/ advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Camrin Petramale
  6. Hey Matt I found this on the web this morning. It's pretty cool, might be a great backup system http://store.redrockmicro.com/microremote

  8. Yea Janice I remember renting them but it would not fit. My post is 3/4 inch. The cinewidget D bracket is 5/8ths. Do you know the dimensions of the PRO-GPI post?
  9. Also don't forget to add the weight of your sled. That has bitten me in the ass many times in the past.
  10. I am currently flying an older Actioncam Zero G sled with an arm post size of 3/4". Maybe I am looking in the wrong places but I cannot find an f/j bracket that will fit my sled. Traditionally I fly older heavy 35mm cameras that require the usual f/j bracket design so a poorly executed design will not work. Is there anyone out there with a similar problem or a way to create/design a f/j bracket that will fit my thicker post. Thanks.
  11. Looking to pick up a BFD with a set of motors (two would be great but I can live with one) also if anyone has a modulus 3000 they could part with please send mean email or pm. Thanks
  12. Do you think you could elaborate a bit more on sloppy at the end of its travels. And as far as maintenance goes is this a style of arm that requires a lot of it since it has multiple springs? Lastly, how challenging is it to adjust the ride and lift? Thanks.
  13. Hey, I am new to posting on the forum and was hoping to get some professional opinions about the actioncam Zero-g arm. I have read the information available on the internet but I want to get some personal opinions about this arm and its functionality on set, as well as some comparisons to other arms in its price range. Thanks.
