  1. The left most port on SR-2's can be modified for an 11 pin. Some have chosen to do this because of the addition of video taps, and CE speed controls. The original port was for a speed control, I believe, but with an upgrade from CE, you dont need this. CE also makes the bases for Arri 3's. Splitter boxes also may not work, depending if the manufacturer spent the time to wire all the ports. NINER boxes are wired for all used pins, so you can use them for power and start/stop.
  2. On SR2's, the left most 11 pin port may just be wired for 12v only, but usually the middle port is an original and should be wired for everything.
  3. Hi Peter, I'd love to see some upgrades that you have done. I too have an EFP Vest that the velcro is starting to become "well used". What can you do to these vests?
  4. Velcro them to a Video Receiver. Or to a bartech.(Just Kidding) Put a longer wire on it with a 4 pin xlr or power tap for a sun gun battery For DV Stuff. Throw the BP-90 in a backpack. If they are in good condition, start cycling them to keep them alive. With a 4 pin XLR they just may come in handy one day.
  5. I did the S-Corp. Don't really know why, my CPA set it up. It mainly comes down to how you file taxes. You may want to check with your CPA. LLC's can usually be converted to S-Corps by filing another document, so that may be a way to go, and convert if you need to for tax reasons.
  6. ERROR We regret that Yahoo! Music videos are not currently supported for Macintosh. We are exploring ways to offer video on additional platforms, and hope you?ll check back as we make enhancements to the service. For more information on Yahoo! Music Video system requirements, visit to the Music Video section of Yahoo! Music Help. Please use the following error code when writing to Yahoo! Help. (Error Code: 4) That Sucks! I love the error code though. 4
  7. I had the same issue, and had my machinist drill and tap into the monitor arm and put 2 small screws vertically into it to stop the post from clamping down. They act as a spacer in there so the arm tightens down, and as an added bonus, wont spin with the screws in there. Chip
  8. Cinema Products did ours... Oh, I mean tiffen now. Ours was originally an SK that was sent in for service before we owned it, and came back as an SK 2.
  9. $10 is better than having it sit around the gear room for the last few years, making no money. We couldn't give that thing away.
  10. Would have taken $10/week on that Moy Head.
  11. Judging solely on that Skycraft sticker on the Vest, I'd say that the one and only Andrew Jansen. Andrew, next time, have them take the shot on your good side. Looks like your sporting the whole new package too. Nice! Take Care, Chip
  12. Your only 1 exit off. Not bad for being gone for so long. And actually, it's on Fairbanks..... My memory had failed me for a bit there. Give me a jingle if you're in town. We'll have a little Orlando Guild meeting.
  13. Yea, Sure. Cruise on over to Skycraft on Aloma..... Oh wait, nevermind. The airfare alone wouldn't make it worth it. Bi-Tronics if you're looking to buy online. They have a great catalog of connectors and cables, and other cool geeky stuff. www.btx.com Take Care, Chip
  14. Ahhhhh. That's right. I thought it was a vertical mag. It has been a long time. Wow, a plethera of bad informatiuon, I am. Chip
  15. Rich Davis used to have a steadimag for this camera i think. Also, Visual Products in Ohio does service and upgrades for this camera, including super 16 and video. Whitehouse AV also does service, and still makes batteries for it. They are 20v, and an odd shape.
  16. Same as Ari said. 2 pin XL power cable, 24v. They do have a low mode bracket that fits in the top mag position, and maybe another steadicam part that goes on the bottom. It's been a while. I also seem to remember as a safety thing to power down the camera (unplug) to change mags. May not be an issue using a remote on/off, but something about blowing fuses in the camera if the switch is engaged. Take Care, Chip
  17. I second that. Almost thought you'd get away with it eh? Happy Birthday, Chip Monk
  18. Hello All, Any advice on filming in Moscow? Anyone been? Where's the good beer? Chip

  21. Try towerhobbies.com Look for the astro super watt meter. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX3605&P=ML they also make a micro version now. Chip
  22. Power is a 2 pin Lemo. Like the XL? I believe. Same connector as most of the Pana accesories. (lens lights, OB Monitors, zoom power) Chip
  23. I shipped my 3A Sled to the UK when I bought my current rig, and the charge was around $160, nothing additional. I know I shipped with some kind of tracking number, be it Fedex or UPS, but can't remember which. I think that also had insurance on it. Actually, it may not have. If you quote the value, that's what they may tax you on. If you're sending as a gift, they may not tax. Few years back, can't remember....losing brain power.....need more coffee. Take Care, Chip

    How much?

Imran, I have found a set of Black Springs that I bought from another operator a few years ago, and never installed them in my arm. I've since upgraded to a Rig arm and no longer need them. Let me know if you are interestd in them. It's a cheap and easy upgrade. Chip chip@cmsteadicam.com
