  1. Hi I have trouble keeping the batteries in place during operating. Have to fasten the bolt really tight, but after some time it moves a little, resulting in rig being out of balance... A somewhat larger bolt or a system with radial steps (like a pan bar on a fluid head) might do the trick to keep the load of the batteries in the correct angle. Cheers, Sven
  2. Mikko, I don't know of any special events at IBC, but I'm also definitely going. Let me know when you are going and I'll try to meet up with you. Get to know the face behind the name... See you in Amsterdam. Sven
  3. Hi all, Just want to share this with you: I bought and paid up front an EBX, before the whole story started here on the forum. I got me a bit worried, I might say, since delivery seemed to take a little longer than expected... :o Anyhow, yesterday, about two weeks after the initially promised date, I got an email, saying my unit was ready for Fedex to pick up, with a tracking#. And this morning Fedex was at my doorstep with the EBX. I can only say that mr. Fisher was always very quick at answering questions and making quotes, but maybe he should make more realistic estimates about delivering the goods. I'd rather know up front that I have to wait, say 2 months, than being told delivery will be in two weeks and then have to be nervous for six more... Take care, Sven
  4. I had to wait over 2 months for my Flyer to arrive. According to the supplier this was due to the fact that the Flyer is a victim of its own popularity. Supply can't follow demand. Now that I have mine, I can tell why it's so popular: great performance at a reasonable price. Sven
  5. Hi guys, I bought my Flyer through a Belgian Steadicam dealer (around 8.000 USD). I gather they made some profit off the sale ;) . Hope this helps. The Flyer is well worth its money I think, when working with smaller cameras. Brian: loved your photos of the workshop, I'm looking forward to taking one myself even more now! Greetings, Sven
  6. Hi all, I hear the new D-cam system doesn't even have an antenna worth mentioning any more, it's just a little bump on the side of the cam. I've worked handheld with one of the older ones (dildo-style). Transmission is great: about one mile in open air, flawless... Antenna is disturbing though Visit www.d-cam.co.uk even has some pictures Gook luck, Sven
