  1. Howdy All-

For sale is a KenLabs 6x6 gyroscope with the Optical Support lemo modification and Optical Support bracket.

Purchased in 2016 and used only a handful of times.

Slight scratch on one of the gyros (see pic) attributed  to TSA carelessness, but pristine and as-new otherwise.

    Cost new: $6400

    Asking $4500

  2. What we have here is a nearly mint condition Tyler Mount Systems Mini-Gyro.  It was designed and intended to be used as an air-to-air or air-to-ground camera platform for helicopters and airplanes.  It is unique among Nelson Tyler’s creations in that it doesn’t require any FAA meddling/paperwork prior to use due to the simplicity of design.  I’ve used it a few times doing aerial stuff, but where I’ve found it most useful is as the world’s easiest vehicle mount.  No rigging required, and can be immediately moved to another position.

It’s basically 2 Kenyon KS-8 gyros in a proprietary housing with an amazingly functional “pogo stick” dampener that pops right into the base.

Technical info from the Tyler Systems website:

Ships in a Tyler-branded Pelican.  Additional handles and washer pads included.

2x Block HC400 batteries (very few cycles) and quick charger included. ($2500 replacement value) Batteries/charger ship in old Panavision magazine cases.

$400/day rental seems to be the going rate for this thing.

I’ll swing by Tyler Mount and bother Mr. Tyler to give it a once-over prior to shipping.

Extremely useful camera platform.  I hate to see it go but my wife said it was either some camera gear or the Datsun when I came home with that fat Sub-Zero refrigerator in the back of my truck...

Local pickup in Los Angeles welcome.  Ships for free in the contiguous 48.

    $9950.  Reasonable offers welcome.

    Thanks!

    Dave
