  1. I can't stand the spaghetti cables... ...unless they are al dente. That is all.
  2. $125 + shipping and it's yours. The cable alone is worth that. =)
  3. Thanks guy. I'll check out the P-touch. Most of these cables Victor have already been made, so I can't do the clear heat shrink thing, even though that's what I'd like.
  4. I'd like to make custom labels for my custom cables. Any leads on a label maker that isn't $400? Or even stickers that I could hand write? Thanks 'yall'
  5. I didn't realize it was available at THD. That's awesome. Tell us what you end up putting it on.
  6. the 1/4-20 shouldn't be threaded. It should be smooth get screw long enough. Get long countersunk screw, slide through smooth 1/4-20 hole. tighten. Then put dovetail on top of the countersunk screw, using 3/8 threaded holes.

  9. Rob, I'd need it by the 11th, and I can send it back on the 14th (or 15th, depending on how quick you need it back) -- I'll PM you my contact info in case you need it.
  10. Thanks Job for the advice. We're going to chat with production and let them know the advantages of the "over the lens" version. I'd rather do that as well. Is there a monitor that you guys would recommend? I'm guessing having one that has batteries, or could be powered from the sled would be nice?
  11. As he shows in the video, 90deg rotation horizontal, not 90degrees laterally. And if his merlin was top heavy, wouldn't it flop over at any rotation of the gimbal?
  12. Daniel, Good video for the explanation. It seems like a question for B&H / Tiffen. I'd email them, and send them a link to your video. I'd try B&H first, then Tiffen. ( Tiffen is moving locations this week, so I'd give them a couple days to catch up to their calls and emails. ) But what you are showing is not a normal balance problem.
  13. Thanks Louis, The feed has to come from the truck, and go to two cameras at the same time, so the iPad option is out. (although it would be nice if that would work!) I have a call in to Sharon.
  14. Thanks Rob. I'm in Chattanooga, TN. Shoot is in ATL. I'll call Sharon on monday. =)
  15. Anyone know where I could rent 1, or maybe 2 10" steadiprompt's from here in the south. (or anywhere I guess) I need them for 2nd week of march. I know many folks put an LCD above the lens, but I don't think production would go for it.
  16. And a macchiato shouldn't come in 16oz sizes. And a single doppio only exists in bizarro world. But this is STARRRRRRBUUUUUUCKS! =)
  17. I'm going. I'll be working at the Starbucks in south hall. Making triple grande half-caf double foam americanos before lunch, and single venti quad pump agave drip doppio's after lunch. Ask for me by name. Or just point.
