  1. Sam! I like your tests. Yes, I think a Mōvi might do a little better. Are you using any vibration reduction on the Ronin amount? Have you seen the Flowcine Black Arm? Best wishes and keep cycling! Dan

Includes AC power Supply Original Box 128GB Lexar 3400x Cfast Card x2 Nothing else :) $2700, prefer LA local sale. Email : mrpolaroid@gmail.com
  3. Mike - give me a call any time, would be happy to share with you how I made it make a ton of business for us in the past. :) Red Digital Cinema, another homegrown southern California manufacturer, was a huge inspiration on making this a practicality. best, Dan
  4. Maybe check out the Teradek Beam ? I think it does everything you want it to including IFB http://teradek.com/pages/beam
  5. I agree with Mike - Beam and Triton are Very different products for different Tasks. Triton is aimed at Entry level use with DSLR Cameras or Action Cameras like Go Pro - at home with a small lightweight camera, or flying on a small Quadcopter like a DJI Phantom 2. Triton has less than 1ms delay, HDMI input and output. External Antennas on the transmitter side (for Licensed Ham Operators who want to experiment for instance). Triton has an advertised Range of 450-500 feet line of sight - as always performance may vary - we have gone even FURTHER line of sight in optimal conditions while flying on a quadcopter. Beam seems like a pretty cool solution if you need an encoder based option and the flexibility that can offer - but I haven't actually had a chance to try one yet. If anyone wants to talk Triton - feel free to shoot us an email at info@paralinx.net

  8. Hi Richard, I can't speak for the quality or service of the other Clone Copycats - however I can tell you: 1. We are the First and Original 2. We have more Frequencies available and Dynamic Frequency Selection, as well as the choice of 1:1 sets or Multi-receiver sets. 3. We are Camera People First, and we decided to make a product that would fill our own needs and the needs of many others. 4. We have superb customer service and support, as well as dealers on every continent, including locally in South Africa. 5. We do have more antennas. Feel free to shoot us an email at info@paralinx.net and we will be more than happy to help you out. We are running some specials that coincide with Cinegear - and be sure to check out the wide range of accessories that we also offer like an HD-SDI module, great power cables, and great short HDMI cables; www.paralinx.net/store Thanks! Dan
  9. HD-SDi is indeed on both the transmitter and receiver. The Tomahawk is our system with a 2000 foot / 600 meter Range Profile. Best, Dan
  10. Paralinx is Proud to Demonstrate HDMI/HD-SDI USB 3.0 Capture Device and iOS Streaming at NAB 2014. NOT a replacement for Arrow or Tomahawk Family of Products, but works alongside them! Stay Tuned for more information...
  11. PARALINX is giving away free Registration to NAB to anyone who is on the fence about attending this year1 Hope to see many of our friends out there, and plenty of new faces as well! http://www.paralinx.net/blog/2014/2/20/free-pass-to-nab-2014-in-las-vegas-come-visit-paralinx-at-booths-c7439-oe1346
  12. Charles, Happy to showcase the Paralinx ARRAY (™) to you next week… Just let me know! Best, Dan
  13. The Controlled backchannel on Paralinx Tomahawk is actually on a PCB antenna inside our receiver, so it's a fixed dbi for anyone trying to split hairs. Can't speak for the legality of what anyone else is doing or trying. Ultimately it's the choice of the end user and their duty to responsibly manage signals in a professional environment. Nothing Paralinx sells is illegal though. Tomahawk offers a variety of modes and channels.
  14. Scott - I just logged in so I can PM you now - the trouble with PM's is that it requires me to login in order to answer you. for any future support questions please email: support@paralinx.net or Call 818.934.1535 and connect to the support team via the menu. I reached out to Hot Rod Cameras where you dropped your Arrow off for service - apparently the power pin came loose. We can have this fixed for you tomorrow when we get it from HRC. Is it easier for you to pick up from HRC in Hollywood or from PARALINX office in Atwater Village? best, Dan dan@paralinx.net
  15. Will have some more videos next week. Next iteration with HD-SDI input will be Multi receiver capable. More add-on antenna info will be available before end of year. Thanks for the kind words!

  17. Just a small note - I am the only representative for Paralinx on these boards, and the price has not yet been announced publicly. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
  18. Just a note - the price has not been publicly announced at all for Tomahawk.
  19. Respectfully, William - my product speaks for itself. The concept of a demo day was to give people a hands on to brand new technology. Essentially what is being asked of me is to explain how what I am selling is different from something I have never personally seen from someone I don't know. What I can tell you is that PARALINX offers the best lightweight, long range HD transmitter system in the world, and it is shipping the first week of December. Tentative pricing for a Tomahawk Transmitter and Receiver with Machined Aluminum housings, two sets of external antennas, an Anton Bauer mounted Receiver with receiver stand plate, Genuine Lemo power connectors on transmitter and receiver, as well as access to hardware and software revisions is available in limited quantities at $9,995 I'm going to be doing a demonstration for another member of this forum - who is a high profile steadicam operator/DP/Director, I'm hoping he likes it - I would think he would - but of course we shall see. Literally everyone here on this forum was welcomed to a free lunch and Hands-on demonstration in Los Angeles today and I think they would have been shocked to see what we showed.
  20. Here is a link to a Technology focused forum - where I am constantly blown away by the level of candor, and pure engineering spirit that are shown every day: http://www.diydrones.com/profiles/blogs/paralinx-demonstrates-tomahawk-long-range-wireless-hd-fpv-in-los
  21. Thanks for Defending what we are doing here Alan. Firstly - MY chipset supplier is called AMIMON (with an M) not Aminon not NomNomina not numnumnumnum... So I have no idea who Jens could be referring to. Maybe someone is thinking of Amnon Band of BandPro? According to google 5995euro is $8123 USD Paralinx offers a value added trade in program for Arrow and Arrow+ users to turn in their old units for credit towards new units. If I wanted to just buy something made by someone who has LITERALLY no clue what the film industry needs and sell it for more I could have done that more than a year ago and maybe done quite well - however I ACTUALLY STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCT I SELL, and so if it has the PARALINX name on it, it has to be worthy of My own USAGE as a camera person. Sadly it gets harder and harder to justify the hard work and effort I put in to making a good product when people are constantly expecting something to DO everything and COST nothing. If I was okay with the status quo of waiting for a corporate wet-nurse to bottle-feed me rather than bootstrapping my own company, building and standing behind technology I believe in for the betterment of MY ART AND CRAFT then I never would have started Paralinx. I consider myself lucky enough to not stand by waiting for things to come to me. I make them happen, and I can say with utter conviction that I DO THIS BECAUSE I CARE. I could of course just sit in forums and deride the efforts of other people to advance the science and technology that enables our craft - but instead I'm out working for the betterment of the industry - not trying to simply drive down the price and slam what other people are working on. Of course - there is no chance that anything like that would happen here - because this is a forum of Gentlemen - people who are part of a Society that helps and supports each other to do better work by sharing knowledge and camaraderie, right? At least, when I was talking to my mentor - a prominent member of the ASC - that is one of the things that I learned from him - it's as much about treating each other with respect and class, as it is of being the BEST in your industry - and the BEST at what you do. The BEST don't need to remind everyone that they are the best - it's just known. In any case - it's fun to see a 7 page thread about something I started - myself and one other member of the Cinematographers guild. On a recent business trip to the silicon valley - I had to marvel - "Wow - in the presence of some of these people I'm actually the dumbest guy in the room" - and yet every single person here has welcomed me with open arms, celebrated what I had to bring to the table and were able to question the concepts of some of my technical innovations, achievements and ideas but all the while maintain a sense of candor, politeness, and most importantly positive enthusiasm about what we could achieve if we worked together. Paralinx is all about stepping out of the Dark Ages and igniting the Arc of filmmaking with the help of creativity, passion and technology. If anyone else besides Alan had attended our event today at the Los Angeles State Historic Park, I would love to hear your commentary. Personally I think the event was a revelation, and will not be the last event of its type that we hold. Furthermore, I would like to openly welcome Jens and Eric, and really anyone who might somehow see me as a threat to their way of life, or just as someone who they don't like. I think the fun of the event, the power of the technology, and the enlightened feeling of flight and new horizons might open up some new friendships.
  22. Price quotes will be available at the demo and available after the demo by email to info@paralinx.net
